[HEADING=1]--- Evangelion ---[/HEADING]
[HEADING=2]The End is Here[/HEADING]

Hello everyone! Welcome to this RP!

At the dawn of the new millennium, mankind is besieged by the Angels- a threat unlike any faced before. Conventional weapons are useless against them. They can only be stopped by means of the Evangelions - bio-engineered vessels born from the Angels' own being. But this forbidden knowledge is also the key to bringing about a startling new genesis for the human race. Placed in the hands of it's young pilots, the final fate of humanity resting upon their shoulders, the Evas are the world's last hope.

---

It has been 15 years since Second Impact. An explosion in Antarctica vaporized the entire continent. The resulting tidal waves killed billions worldwide and flooded coastal regions of every continent. Worse yet, the very axis of the Earth itself was permanently shifted, causing a global climate change that devastated crops and added incredible strain to already decimated regions.

In the following devastation, many countries and governments collapsed entirely as the United Nations struggled to hold humanity together. Rioting and war became common as vital resources disappeared virtually overnight. The months following Second Impact left no one unscathed, and all told only half of the human race survived the disaster and our resulting fear induced stupidity.

That was 15 years ago. It was years before the situation stabilized enough for the UN to mount an expedition to ground zero to investigate the explosion. A report was published, proving that Second Impact was the result of a 4-inch meteorite traveling at 95% of the speed of light, much too small and traveling far too quickly to have been detected before its devastating collision with the Earth's South Pole. To this day, all but the most well -informed of individuals believe this.

In truth, Second Impact was caused by the awakening and subsequent defeat of a powerful being since labeled "Adam". A being older than life on Earth, and of extraterrestrial origin.

Adam was the first. He was not the last. Humanity is under threat again, and if even a single battle is lost it could mean the end of the entire human race.

That fate of the world is in your hands. Don't fuck it up.

[HEADING=2]The Enemy[/HEADING]
The scourge of mankind.

Their origin is in the the distant past, where an extraterrestrial civilization was seeding life throughout the galaxy. They achieved this by sending powerful artificial beings to worlds where they could reshape and populate it accordingly. There were at least two models of these progenitor beings- based from the Tree of Life (creatures that were immortal, centralized, and mostly unintelligent forces of nature) and Tree of Knowledge (creatures that were mortal, split into millions of individuals, and were capable of advanced thought and subjective experience).

Two very different kinds of life, and neither was meant to coexist with the other. But on Earth, something went wrong. 2 of these seeds ended up on the same planet, both prepared to fill it with their creations. In the resulting war, both of them were severely wounded. The Angel progenator (named Adam) was frozen beneath Antartica, and the bringer of all other life (Lilith) returned to her craft beneath the Earth.

After 3 billion years, the Angels have returned.
In realspace, Angels manifest as terrifying entities capable of slaying armies and destroying continents. They have strange, sorcerous powers drawn from the A.T. Field and are virtually impervious to human weapons. Even ICBMS cannot kill them. Angels have incredible control over their forms, achieving a biological integrity that would be impossible outside of the A.T. Field.

They seek to reunite with Adam. If even a single one gets through, it would spell doom for every creature on Earth.

Angels can take enormous amounts of physical damage, but they can be killed.

The core is the Angel's "real" body, and the only thing that matters in Angel combat. Every Angel, no matter what they manifest on the outside, can be killed by cracking the core. But just because the outside's not important doesn't mean Nerv doesn't have to spend three hundred billion a year to get through it.

Killing Angels has three primary steps.

Step One: Breach the A.T. Field
All Angels have A.T. Fields. As long as it is active, even weapons of mass destruction are of little threat. Anyone meaning harm to an Angel must first find a way to breach this defense, either through powerful specialized weaponry, or neutralizing it in close combat.

Step Two: Disabling the Angel
While not technically a required step, failing to do so will make step three incredibly difficult. Even with its A.T. Field breached, an Angel is a thing of nightmares- they have powers that cut through armor like paper, or they simply attack your mind directly.

Step Three: Destroy the Core
Every Angel has a red, spherical Core somewhere in its body. This is the creature itself, the rest being entirely expendable. Destroying the Core is the only way to kill it, and even that is dangerous as many Angels run the risk of exploding violently in their death throes. It is possible to kill an Angel by aiming for the exposed Core and attacking it directly, without fighting it. This is the recommended way to assault an Angel. If an Angel has been defeated by massive damage to its head or body, but the core still survives, the Angel is physically
incapacitated but is still fully capable of using its A.T. Field and A.T. Field powers. For certain Angels, this leaves it a method of escape that the Core might use to attempt to flee the battle. If the Core successfully escapes, expect a more powerful version of that Angel to strike after it has regenerated its body.

[HEADING=2]Evangelions[/HEADING]
"The Evangelion is a marvelously resilient tool, combining the self repair of biological systems with the multiple redundancy of artificial weapons. It is capable of sustaining damage that would be catastrophic to any other mechanical or biological weapon and continue performing, and even when it is utterly defeated, so long as it can be recovered it can be restored to full function. Their only weakness is the pilot itself. While an Evangelion can have its waist bisected and continue to fight, it may be difficult to demonstrate to a panicking nerve-linked child that their own legs are, in fact, still attached."
-Nerv Director of Operations Adrian Hertz

Although they appear to be enormous robots, the Evas are actually alive. They are cybernetically enhanced and armor plated, but they are not machines. They integrate a mostly biological being with a substantial mechanical infrastructure and flexible polymer sheathing and armor plating. But like the Angels, their real advantage is the Absolute Territory Field (A.T. Field for short). A.T. Fields are almost invulnerable to conventional weaponry, but can be neutralized by deploying an opposing A.T. Field, allowing the Evas to battle the Angels on their own terms.

An Evangelion is an unrivaled fighting machine that is as much a product of conspiracy and deceit as it is science and engineering. The Evangelions are a mix of Angel and human DNA that have been partially lobotomized and restrained to allow humanity to control it's enormous power.

Evangelions are all humanoid in shape, but of a vastly alien biology and a monstrous appearance even with the armor covering. They also have a number of important primary systems beyond simple locomotion and fighting.

Evangelions are not controlled through a manual interface. Hand controls are present, but lack the ability to actually manipulate the Evangelion with the range and dexterity required. They are merely a focus for the pilot, a part of a larger, telepathic control system achieved by synchronizing with the Evangelion. At this point the Evangelion becomes an extension of the pilot, and normal vehicle rules cease to apply.

For these reasons, piloting an Evangelion is represented by control of a large, powerful character fighting similarly sized opponents. This does not render you 'true' character obsolete, as many of your skills and talents carry over. After all, your character is the one in control, not the Evangelion itself.

Entry Plug
The entry plugs are long, cylindrical structures with rounded ends which contain the cockpits for the Evangelions. A pilot enters a plug through a hatch in its center; once the hatch is sealed, the plug is filled with LCL (a liquid used to mentally link a pilot with the Evangelion and supply oxygen directly to the lungs when breathed). Each Eva has a socket in a cervical vertebra in its upper spine, covered by a retractable plate; the entry plug is inserted into this socket, the hatch closes, and pilot control of the Eva is established.

The plugs are heavily armored and equipped with parachutes and rockets to aid in escape from a badly damaged Evangelion. Control from within the entry plugs for activation of the Evas usually consists of voice commands in conjunction with mental thought, although this is usually done remotely by Nerv personnel. Apparatuses found within the entry plug include two distinctly designed hand-triggers which are used for simple, but delicate, finger movements, such as using firearms. The screens that show the external environment surround the pilot and are picked up by cameras mounted on the Eva's head, and from the eyes of the Eva itself. They also display other information, and are three-dimensional projections. Smaller images can be superimposed over the environmental views for communication between pilots and/or the command station in Central Dogma.

Umbilical Cable
Evangelions have a massive energy requirement, so much so that for functions beyond pilot life support, their internal batteries' charge only lasts for only a few minutes. To deploy Evas for longer periods of time, power cables referred to as "umbilical cables" are inserted into the Evangelion's back. Spools containing umbilical cables are located throughout the Base of Operations, so if an Eva extends the cable to its maximum length, it can switch to another one. When Evas are deployed to areas other than the Base of Operations, portable sets of umbilical cables are brought along to connect them to an external power supply.

Evas can be voluntarily disconnected from their umbilical cables to provide greater mobility, albeit knowing that they will only have a short time to remain active. If an umbilical cable is severed during battle, the end plugged into the Eva's back will automatically eject from the Eva so as not to hinder its movements.

"We have spent fifteen years of our lives trying to determine the mechanisms of the A.T. Field. We know nearly everything about it. We know how to control it. We know what can make them and who can manipulate them. We know how strong they can be made, and every way in which they can notionally be applied. We know how they can be inverted to create the most dangerous weapon ever held by man, that the local changes in physical laws it engenders are permanent and irreversible, and that we cannot afford to use such a weapon again. We know everything there is to know about it - except what it is."
-Foreword to "The New Science", by Dr. Sama Chandrahan.

The Absolute Territory Field is a manifestation of the soul, generated by every living being. It contains the Ego, separating it from other souls. It is what allows consciousness and individual thought to exist, and makes experiences unique to each person.

But while human A.T. Fields let them differentiate, the Angels are singular beings, each one equivalent to the entire human species. Their A.T. Fields are extremely strong, enough to take physical form, interacting with objects in numerous ways and can having strange effects on the material world. These can take all forms- invincible defense, telekinesis, influencing the minds of other creatures, opening dimensional gates, etc.

A skilled A.T. Tactician can utilize his own Eva's A.T. field- they could, for example, combine minor time dilation and a reduction of friction inside a bubble around them to move at extreme speeds. Or briefly expand the A.T. Field in a weakened state to feel the resistance of other A.T. Fields, detecting even invisible enemies. Other Evas still use basic abilities- Neutralizing enemy A.T. Fields shielding themselves from harm, and synching with the pilot.

The A.T. Field gives the Angels their power. It is the reason that Evangelions were created at all, and why the Eva's are humanity's only chance against them.

Corruption represents the invasive nature of angelic beings on even the strongest minds. As your exposure to them increases, so does the hold of their power on your body and soul. The Ego Barrier erodes away, culminating in collapse of the ego and subsequent death of the pilot.

Humans have their own personal A.T. Fields. Nothing like the immense forcefields that the Angels wield, the human A.T. Field is a psycho-somatic boundary that defines the edges of a person's soul and maintains their coherency of self. On the occasions where this personal A.T. Field collapses, the result is the person's complete dissolution into LCL, the blood of Lilith that served as the template for all life on Earth in the distant past.

Ego Barrier
Each character begins play with a full Ego Barrier. As they become exposed to hostile A.T. Fields and other, more insidious forms of attack, it will weaken. this can be caused by:

Oversynching: When a pilot and their Evangelion achieve a phenomenal Synchronization Ratio of 100% or more, the Evangelion's AT Field actually infringes on the Pilot's stability. The pilot's Ego breaks down. At 200%, the Eva's A.T. Field and the pilot's are as one, and can activate A.T. powers at will. But inevitably, the pilot will be consumed by their own Evangelion, which will berserk or awaken.

Direct Contact: Should your entry plug ever be breached by an Angel's attack, you would be lucky to survive. Those that do find that direct close range expose to the overwhelming A.T. Field (even one neutralized to the point of providing no defense) of an Angel is harmful to them in ways they can scarcely understand.

Mental Contact: Should an Angel ever attempt mental contact with a human or otherwise invade a human?s mind, the human in question will suffer great damage to their Ego Barrier.

Despite efforts to the contrary, sometimes the Evangelion becomes aware of its surroundings and takes control should the pilot become incapacitated. While Berserk, the Evangelion is dominated by an all consuming rage, and will savagely attack the nearest enemy until either the enemy or itself is destroyed. After the Angel is defeated, or if the Angel is out of range, the Berserk Evangelion attacks other nearby Evangelions.

The Eva will not rest until all enemies within sight have been destroyed. What happens next is a toss up. The EVA may stare longingly into the sky, perhaps reaching a hand upwards to grab at it. It may run in a random direction, using it's arms propel itself if it cannot use its legs. It may notice nearby objects, anything from flowers to people to an entire building, and immediately starts to examine it intensely. It may finds its armor extremely uncomfortable and begins systematically removing it by force. Or in the absolute worst case scenario, the Evangelion feels a deep pull, the same pull that draws the Angels, and has a similar reaction. It will immediately attempt to access and destroy Nerv HQ and bond with the progenitor itself.

Awakening
CLASSIFIED

Evangelions have souls. They are grown more than built, and can vary wildly even when based on the same basic design. Additionally, many Eva's are built with entirely new implementations of systems, making the creation of any two Evangelions with more than a passing resemblance unlikely. Even if an Evangelion seems physically according to plan, any number of imperfections in the core, growing process or synchronization systems can lead to individual traits to emerge.

The physical body can mutate, with cyclopean or extra eyes, redundant organs, or cosmetic traits such as horns.

The armor is specific to each Eva and varies in design and intention. It may be decorated with a banner, ensignia, or other symbol of the people's support attached to its armor (perhaps made by local schoolchildren, a gift from a foreign government, or part of a local unity event). It might be a flagship, created and unveiled in a very public manner and proudly bearing the mark of whatever country built it.

Last is the soul. It has a deep relationship with the pilot, the nature of which will vary between each unit.
Melee Weapons: Neutralizing an A.T. Field puts the Eva at extreme close range with the enemy. A melee weapon allows the pilot to go head-to-head with the Angel immediately, using the same tactics that have been drawn upon throughout human history. Weapons can be augmented with various properties:

Progressive- With a vibrating weapon, the constant oscillating motion of the blade results in multiple impacts per second to create a shredding effect more like a jackhammer than a knife. Progressive Weapons take this one step further by oscillating at such high speeds that the friction causes the blade of the weapon to become white hot.

Pneumatic- Pneumatic weapons are weapons with a built in set of high-energy pistons set to fire off on impact, adding an extra driving force to each blow.

Hyper-Progressive- By building the weapon out of a series of seamlessly interlocking progressive sections, the vibration of the weapon can be balanced enough to prevent the weapon from shaking itself apart. Similarly, these individual progressive sections can be designed to work in harmony, accelerating the oscillation of the weapon to previously unimaginable speeds.
Progressive Knife MK I: The standard issue melee weapon of the Evangelions. A Progressive Knife can cut through most things like paper, and even heavily armored targets can be taken down with a well struck blow.

Spear: A truly ancient tool, used by man since the beginning of recorded history. It is a sharp blade on the end of a reinforced pole some 30 meters in length. The Spear is also made to be thrown short distances.

Shield: A reinforced armor plate held in one hand by the Evangelion, the shield can be used as a bashing weapon. However, this is contrary to its original purpose as a defense tool.

Tonfa: A thin but heavy blade designed to align parallel to the arm rather than perpendicular when held. Only the front end of it is used on the attack, allowing Nerv scientists to make only that section Progressive to avoid the catastrophic failures associated with make a larger weapon Progressive. Versions lacking the blade also exist, and are instead used as clubs that deal impact damage.

Axe: Simple. Deadly. A heavy sharp blade on a reinforced shaft, the battleaxe is a powerful close combat weapon. When made progressive, only the cutting edge of the axe is modified, effectively incorporating a Progressive knife blade (or sometimes two) into the overall design rather than making the entire weapon truly Progressive.

Hammer: A solid block of heavy metal on a shaft, hammers represent a simple but brutally effect melee weapon. Can be fitted with pneumatics.

Chainsword: Early research into Progressive weapons quickly discovered that larger versions of the Progressive Knife simply don?t work. After a certain length, the weapon vibrates itself apart. This makes the creation of a true Progressive Sword impossible. Instead, the Chainsword is a collection of small progressive 'bits' on a rapidly spinning chain. This weapon, while crude, is astonishingly effective in close combat.

Sonic Guillotine: Uses resonance drill technology to create a destructive resonance in the target. The Sonic Guillotine is a set of two poles, each a series of resonance emitters, meant to be placed on opposite sides of a target and then active remotely. Each pole is collapsible, and may fit into a wing.

Core Knife: The Core Knife is built with the principal in mind that the Angel?s only weakness is the Core. This weapon is designed to deal a mortal blow on a direct hit to the Core. The Core Knife is built around four small progressive blades parallel to each other on a single hilt. This awkward configuration is not made for normal combat- it is, quite literally, designed to break. If the Core Knife is plunged into a wound, the separate blades snap off of the hilt and, through their own progressive vibration, burrow their way into the target in four separate directions, dealing massive internal damage to the target.

Progressive Knife MK II: The Mark 2 Prog Knife has a blade built out of smaller, independent, progressive sections of blade much like larger versions of the Progressive Bits found on the Chainsword. To this end, the standard knife design has been replaced by one rather like a boxcutter in design. This also allows the knife to continue operating after a section of blade has been destroyed.
Conventional Weapons: Unguided mass-driver weapons whose mechanism is identical to those used by human soldiers.
Pallet Gun: The first ranged weapon ever designed for Evangelion use, firing bullets the size of cars. While a devastating weapon when used against conventional armies, against an Angel it would prove woefully insufficient.

Battle Rifle: An improved pallet gun, the Battle Rifle boasts increased ammo capacity and stopping power in addition to a correction of the flawed firing mechanism of the original.

Hand Cannon: Appropriately named, the Hand Cannon (while only pistol sized for an Evangelion) fires a modified version of projectiles originally designed for Battleships. While of limited ammo capacity and low accuracy, as it sidearm it can be a lifesaver in hand to hand.

Heavy Railgun: A scaled down intercontinental weapon mounted on a Evangelion, this device carries more energy per shot than any other solid projectile weapon made by man. The projectiles it fires are not significantly larger than those fired by smaller guns, but they are fired with an incredible velocity. The weight of the railgun is such that it could never be reliably fired hand held, and needs to be braced on the ground or mounted on the Evangelion's shoulder with a complex system of counterweights and shock absorbers to handle the recoil. This weapon is capable of hitting enemies in orbit around the Earth. (However, such enemies are far outside the range of A.T. Field neutralization, and as such the Railgun will have to contend with that defense).

Rail Rifle MK I: A handheld Railgun, the Rail Rifle launches a single small projective at ultra-high velocities for a damage and range far outstripping the Battle Rifles. Unfortunately, even a small disruption in the electromagnetic rails can cause a misfire, making it less reliable and prone to breaking down against an Angel.

Rail Rifle MK II: Utilizing an alternating system of electromagnetic rails, the Mark II can fire several times in rapid succession without losing power. These advanced rails, in addition to their ability to handle the frequent firing, have been designed to operate correctly in the face of disruptions that would have caused major problems in earlier designs.

Rocket Launcher: Virtually identical in design to RPG Launchers available to infantry, this Rocket Launcher is simply a scaled up version of that tried and true design. While less effective against Angels with active A.T. Fields, this weapon can be devastating against targets lacking such protection. Tremendous collateral damage, and very low ammo.

---
Positron Weapons: Positron weaponry fires a dense and powerful beam of positrons, the antimatter equivalent of electrons. At sufficiently high outputs, Positron Weaponry has the unique destructive power to penetrate an active A.T. Field.
Positron Rifle MK I: The Mark I Positron Rifle is an advanced prototype. It can only fire once per round without suffering critical damage, and each shot destroys vital fuses that must be automatically switched out for the next shot. Despite these flaws, it retains the devastating power of a positron weapon, and is not to be overlooked when fighting Angels.

Positron Rifle MK II: A total redesign featuring more durable fuses and a more complex cooling system, the Mark 2 can fire multiple shots in succession at no loss of firepower.

Positron Cannon:A heavier version of the Mark I. Like it's comrade, the Positron Cannon can only fire once per round and requires critical fuses to be replaced after each shot. However, it has a greatly increased range and a much denser beam of positrons capable of ripping through enemies. This weapon requires an incredible amount of power, and cannot be fired if it is not plugged into an Umbilical Cable.

Great Positron Cannon: Undoubtedly the most powerful weapon an Evangelion can wield, the Great Positron Cannon stretches positron technology to its breaking point. With an unrivaled range and damage output, the Great Positron Cannon can punch through A.T. Fields and armor with ease, quickly severing limbs or killing its target instantly with a well aimed shot. Unfortunately, its sheer size makes it awkward to wield, as well as both hands to carry. In addition, it has a tendency to overheat and has a long cool down time in between shots. This is due to the incredible amount of energy required to power it for a full shot, which is so high that the Great Positron Cannon must draw power directly from no less than 3 separate Umbilical Cables at once. The Great Positron Cannon has an effectively unlimited range and can fire into orbit.

---
High Explosive Bolt Weapons: A bolt is a self-propelled explosive slug with its own integrated solid propellant that propels the projectile at high speeds, essentially acting like a small rocket. The ammunition is designed to penetrate the target and then detonate, causing immense damage to the target and leaving little opportunity for survival.
HE Bolt Launcher: A test type design, the HE Bolt Launcher fires experimental high explosive armor piercing rounds. The size of the projectiles, and resulting recoil, creates an incredible amount of stress that prevents the Launcher from firing repeatedly. However, the exploding shells themselves are very effective.

HE Bolt Pistol: A chopped down version of the Boltgun with a drastically reduced ammo capacity, the Bolt pistol represents the most powerful pistol an Evangelion can hope to be outfitted with, although it is severely inaccurate and lacking in range.

HE Bolt Gun: A drastically heavier weapon than the Bolt Launcher, the HE Bolt Gun is reinforced to handle the stress of repeat firing of the Bolt Shells. It also takes advantage of recently developed Railgun technology to shoot those shells farther than before.

Heavy HE Bolt Gun: An absurdly large weapon, the Heavy Bolt Gun is so densely reinforced to handle the stress of rapid firing that it has no room for its ammunition. Instead, the gun is belt fed from a large ammunition cache attached to the Evangelion?s back.

---
Maser Weaponse: Masers, as high-intensity microwaves, pass through most forms of matter with little to no impediment, making them more likely to ignore armor and inflict internal damage to the target.
Maser Gun: The Maser Gun or ?Masgun? is an efficient low power energy weapon. While lacking the penetrating properties of a positron weapon, the Masgun is lightweight and sports a steady rate of fire combined with an incredible ammo capacity and range of twice that of the Battle Rifle.

Long Mas Mk I:This long barreled Maser Gun is designed to fire one highly focused maser beam. While only slightly more powerful than the standard Masgun, the Long Mas has an incredible range while sacrificing no ammo capacity. The Long Mas represents one of the earliest available long range weapons that can be made for Evangelion hands.

Mas Carbine: A smaller version of the Masgun, the Mas carbine nonetheless boasts a much higher rate of fire at no loss of power or ammunition. Due to its small size, a Mas Carbine can be wielded one handed. However, it is still much too large to be equipped in a Wing Dock.

Mas Pistol: A small Maser Gun specifically designed to provide a high rate of fire for a pistol without being too large to equip in a wing dock.

Long Mas Mk II: Even longer barreled than the Mark I, the Mark II Long Mas sacrifices ammo capacity for a drastically increases range and the ability to fire repeatedly.

Annihilator: Ironically crude considering the level of technology required to make it work as an Eva Scale weapon, the Annihilator lacks the elegance or efficiency of other Maser weapons. Rather than firing a tight beam for a split second, the Maser Annihilator bombards a whole area with radiation, showing off the true terror that is a fully scaled Microwave Gun. Unfortunately, this weapon is imprecise, and causes immense collateral damage. It causes metal to spark and and flesh to burst into flame, making all but the heaviest or advanced of armor irrelevant and irradiating enemies to ash. It must have an umbilical cable attached to fire.

[HEADING=2]Evangelion Types[/HEADING]
Berserker
They lack skill at ranged combat and master only a fraction of their A.T. Field?s true potential. However, they share a special bond with their Evangelion that few other pilots can match. As the pilot and their Evangelion synchronize, it becomes more self aware more and more of its devastating power is realized. At the highest frequencies the Evangelion can become a monstrous fighter, seemingly invincible to harm.

A.T. Tactician
The Absolute Territory Field is the ultimate defense and weapon of choice of the Angels. Evangelions are fielded against them primarily because of their ability to generate their own A.T. Fields and fight the Angels on equal ground. Controlling these A.T. Fields requires intense concentration. AT Tacticians supplement this with something even more vital: imagination. The reality warping properties of the A.T. Field are capable of performing actions that are blatantly impossible outside of them. AT Tacticians are capable of recognizing the awesome potential of this and exploiting it.

Skirmisher
Skirmishers are the invaluable general fighters. No other pilot class can match their sheer skill and finesse, or their mastery of weapons. Skirmishes, rather than rely on Evangelion specific attributes such as A.T. Fields and Berserking, uses fighting styles and combat maneuvers that have been used by the best human fighters on the ground for generations. They can be masters of melee or ranged combat, and use their weapons to devastating effect.

Pointman
Teamwork is the key to victory, and the Pointman career path epitomizes this. A well played Pointman seems suicidal, but by their actions can shift a battle from being unwinnable to a victory, even if their Evangelion is in pieces by the end of it. Pointmen combine tactical exploitation, precision, and combat skill to open up opportunities for other pilots to strike with impunity, as well as defend their fellow pilots with their lives.
Operations Director
The operations director of a Nerv facility possesses more individual power than any military or political figure on earth. Direct control over the Evangelion units grants any such officer the capacity to effectively wage war against any other Evangelion-armed nation, or the entire mass of the remainder simultaneously. The only meaningful constraint on that power is the fact that it must be exercised through the pilots, prone to failure for the least of reasons, or even no reason at all.

Operations Director is the special career path of this RP. They lack the ability to synchronize with an Evangelion. They only operate their human character. Operations Directors do not fight the Angels directly like other players, but instead guide and assist the other players remotely while spending the entire battle in a command bunker.

However, while they might find their combat experience to be lackluster compared to the dynamic and life threatening struggle of piloting an Evangelion, outside of combat the Operations Director has many distinct advantages. The first and foremost of these is that the Operations Director is one of the highest-ranked people on the planet, an enviable position that should be roleplayed to full effect and taken into account during important decision making.

Under no circumstances may there be two Operations Directors in play at the same time.

Neo-Spartan

Many powerful organizations have selected children with the potential to be one of humanity's future saviors. Since then, their lives have been orchestrated for them to become supersoldiers. Years of training in simulations as well as physical conditioning; placed into situations and drills that pushed their abilities to their very limit and beyond. Their hard training was complemented with high-level education, which included mathematics, science, reading, writing, and military tactics. Although it was brutal, it gave those who finished ultra-heightened skills as pilots and fighters in virtually all forms.

They have dedicated their lives to combat, they are extensively trained in Angel biology and combating their various templates. Conditioned to be fanatical, and to respond well to authority figures. Denied a normal childhood, their aggressive personalites make for few friends. Delicate social interactions are not really their thing.

Prodigy

Not long ago, most people had never even heard of the Evangelions. The vast majority of humanity truly believes Second Impact to be the result of a meteorite strike. For a select few, that comfortable lie has since been shattered, plunged into a world of off-the-wall insanity.

Prodigies are regular people who- for whatever reason- possess the ability to synchronize with an Evangelion without training. Their souls bond with the Eva in seemingly familiar ways, as if they were one entity that had been split apart. Now, they have been tapped by powerful
organizations to pilot a living engine of destruction.

Less sheltered than other pilots, they are naturally adept at social interaction but have little talent for war. They may be easily disturbed and distracted by the foreign sensations flooding their nervous system from the Evangelion, and are easily horrified by the destruction left in their wake. Without the lifelong combat training of their comrades, they miss openings in the enemy's defense that are obvious to them.

Manufactured

Prodigies are one-in-a-million, and neospartan trainees spend nearly every waking moment in preparation for piloting Evas. What could surpass them? A genetically engineered human specifically designed for synchronization.

Genome sequenced and grown to adult size in an embryonic tank, these pilots are specimens of human perfection. Everything, from their intelligence, physical constitution, temperament, to their appearance is designed before birth to be superior. They heal faster than other humans, possess perfect senses and hand eye coordination, and have a natural propensity toward eva piloting.

However, their environment is radically different from regular people- the strict lifestyle and isolation causes many subjects to display personality traits bordering on the autistic or sociopathic. They are bred to obey, to be submissive, and to think for themselves only during an engagement.

The DNA of each subject is digitally stored, and their combat data constantly analyzed so that when the pilot is killed, the next series alters it's traits and becomes an even more deadly opponent, and it continues. Subjects aware of their situation consider themselves expendable, and do not fear death.

Second Impact and the years of chaos that followed it was the closest thing to Hell on Earth in history. But man survived. People who endured this time are too old to be pilots, but work well as directors and support personnel. No one got through Second Impact unscathed- either physically or mentally, it has left a strong impression.

Name: Nikolai "Piggy" Ark
Age: 11
Height: 4'10
Weight: 123 lbs
Blood Type: B Negative
Rank: NA
Character Type: Prodigy
Evangelion Type: Pointman

Physical Appearance: Sort of a fat eleven-year old.

Bio/History: Piggy is a amicable person, with a fairly broad-ranging social knowledge. His general attitude is one of detachment, trying to let that which does not matter truly slide so that one can have full feeling and power for the truly important events. He is rational, aware of his limitations, and has a reasonable amount of restraint.

As a child, Piggy was bullied at school for his weight and AIDS treatment. Piggy breezed through academics, his main interest being the Battle Simulator. He became first a masterful player, then a masterful strategist. His team (consisting of himself and two friends Banger and Shen) began to dominate the class, and though his pudgy body was physically limited, he absolutely let loose in the game.

He was eventually noticed by government and transferred to battle school. There, he was exposed to great emotional and mental anguish and physical danger, rivaling that of adults in Spec Ops training. The administration was forbidden from protecting him in order to guarantee that he would never look to anybody else for help. When he passed the Synch Ratio tests, he was washed out into Nerv and the Evangelions.

He loves Unit 02, insistently calling it 'Big Sis.' In general, he wears plain monochrome t-shirts or button-up casual wear, utility pants and sunglasses. Depending on weather and his flair for the dramatic he may also wear his dad's Army Coat.

Other: Piggy is HIV-positive. Or, as he simply says, "I'm an AIDS baby." He got this phrase from watching 20/20. They were profiling babies who born with the disease to infected mothers. He was sitting on his sofa drinking Ocean Spray cranberry juice as the parade of bony children flashed across the screen. "That's me," Piggy said in his mock-pity tone of voice. "I'm an AIDS baby. Hold me?"

He's been on antiretrovirals for six years and was given his own entourage of physicians by NERV. He never really thinks about it. Or talks about it. The only clue is the counter of his apartment filled with bottles of prescription medicine, stacks of post-it notes and hypodermic needles he uses to inject himself with white blood cells.

Evangelion Name: Unit 02
Weapons: Pneumatic Hammer, High Explosive Bolt Launcher, Core Knife
Appearance:

Short but hulking, with bulky, gorilla-like forearms and upper torso. Its legs are crooked and bent, like a dog's hind leg. The Evangelion has a wired-shut mouth and fins running down the head. It has only 1 shoulder wing (containing a battery for additional time independent from the cable), and a mount on the back. It is painted in a green and white camouflage pattern.
Soul: Skittish. Like a wild animal, the Evangelion wants to avoid danger. Occasionally invasive, lively and uninhibited. Piggy finds these traits both endearing and annoying.
Misc: Original pilot was a Neospartan named Thorbjorn Bach, who died in combat from a defective round. And by defective, I mean "it exploded in his face leaving chunks of metal in his plug". Luckily, the Eva was friendly and accepting of other pilots.

Name: Alexander (Pollux) Gemini
Age: 17
Height:6'
Weight: 185
Blood Type: O negative
Rank: NA
Character Type: Prodigy
Evangelion Type: A.T. Tactician

Physical Appearance: Walnut colored skin, Green Hazel eyes, pretty built, large scar on back.

Bio/History: Alexander was only 3 when the second impact occurred. Him and his twin brother, Samuel, were visiting their grandparents who lived in a series of mountain ranges. They all lived on a chain of large islands he'd never bothered to learn the name of. The second impact caused horrific storms and colossal waves, and the rising sea levels quickly devoured most of the islands. The higher points, such as the mountains where Alexander and Samuel were with their grandparents, managed to avoid the rising tides but were still effected by terrible storms, tearing apart many entire homes. When the storms had subsided and the tides had finally finally stopped rising, a number of survivors had raced into the mountains. Many of them were injured, missing entire limbs from flying debris, suffering brain damage from being under water so long, or simply scarred from having seen friends and loved one be torn away from them. The twin's parents were not among the survivors.

The islands managed to stay in contact with one another but lost connection with the mainland. Eventually plans were made on how to sustain themselves. Anyone who could work was put to work, even those with certain injuries. A lot of young children were put to work in agriculture, while older people were put to work hunting in the mountains, fishing, or salvaging materials so they could build homes and construct boats to travel between islands, now known as "The Tops." Alexander and Samuel were working in the fields by the time they were 6, alongside their grandmother, and were being tutored by their grandfather.

Their grandfather taught them all the basics, math, science, language, history, but what he mainly taught them about was the universe. The Gemini twin's grandfather was an astronomer, hence their last name and also why he lived up in the mountains with their grandmother. He taught them about planets, stars, comets, galaxies, and everything in between. When they started learning about constellations, their grandfather started calling them by the constellation's star's names. Samuel was Castor, and Alexander was Pollux. Their grandmother would jokingly call them the stars of the island. Everyone called them by Alexander and Samuel, but other times they were Pollux and Castor. Castor focused more on the math and history of astronomy and the universe. Pollux was more interested in the mysteries and theories of the universe.

Over the years, this curiosity Alexander had began to spread into other subjects. The way the grew plants, the types of animals they hunted, the weather in the area, the quality of the other Tops, the architecture of houses, and a number of other subjects. By now, the Gemini twins were 13 and old enough to start salvaging materials, working alongside grown men. Alexander was most fascinated with the parts the debris they would pull out of the sea. Remnants of how life used to be and generally interesting things. One day, they found a ship. A colossal ship. Typically, the guys would dive down and pull up whatever they thought would be useful and if it was a larger object, they'd bring a hook and use a crank on the surface to pull it out. However, with an object of this size, they were gonna need a lot of hooks. They underestimated they weight of the ship and cranks everywhere were pulled into the water, as the guys attempted to get out of the water, dodging falling cranks and floating debris. Samuel was nearly to the surface when he realized that Alexander was unconscious, trapped under a pile of debris and cranks, being pulled down by the sinking ship. Samuel used a remaining crank and managed to save Alexander by tying a rope around him. Noticing a large gash on Alexander's back, Samuel didn't realize he was now entangled in the debris and being pulled down. When Alexander awoke, his grandmother was in tears and his grandfather had the most torn look on his face. Pollux was the only star on the island.

2 years later, Alexander was 15 and relatively intact after the incident. The gash on his back left a large scar, but didn't cause major damage. However, the personal damage of knowing he played a major role in his brother's death truly troubled him. Recently, The Tops had finally reconnected with the mainland. Multiple ships came to the island. Though The Tops had survived quite nicely, people were still eager to try new food, use needed medicine, and try on new clothing after all these years of relative isolation. They brought something else as well. Giant humanoid robots could be seen crossing the sea. How much had the world changed? What other surprises did it offer? The angel answered that.

Alexander had felt a strange tingling. He'd felt it when he'd seen the robots, but it was more powerful now. No one knows where it came from, or what its purpose was, but it began attacking The Tops. While other fled, Alexander saw the robots attack the strange being. Alexander ran straight into the combat zone which he soon realized he was heading towards his home. Alexander stopped at a tall hill to admire the fight. He could tell the angel was drawing its power from somewhere but didn't have time to contemplate it, when he saw the angel lash at a row of houses. Populated houses. His populated house was one them. At that very moment, Alexander broke down and realized he'd lost everything. All that work was pointless and he had ntohing left to really live for. Gemini was being erased from the sky and Pollux was fading particularly fast. Then it came flying over head, landing a few yards behind him. An Eva, taken out by the angel. It still seemed operational, but a few feet away, the pilot surely wasn't. He was breathing heavily and couldn't go on much longer. But at that moment, Alexander realized he could and Pollux shined brighter than he ever had before.

Though the Eva was damaged, it still had plenty of fight in it. Alexander entered the Eva and at first was terrified of with what he was doing. Soon he and the Eva came to an understanding, and Alexander calmed down. Pollux was ready and could sense it. He didn't know what it was, but he knew he could use it to his advantage. The Eva charged forward, moving at incredible speeds, faster than the other Evas. Most of the weapons were disabled but Pollux and the Eva gave it all they had. After a long fight, Pollux had the Eva drew as much energy as it could from the A.T field and focused it all into one powerful flurry of punches. In the end, the angel simply fell apart, leaving only a damaged core in the Eva's hand. Pollux had found his place among the stars

Other: Shortly after Pollux's test run, Alexander is properly trained and his Eva was repaired and re-designed. Alexander learned that the Eva was Unit-031, but Pollux called it Dioscuri, the combined name of Pollux and Castor. Dioscuri only addresses Alexander as Pollux for some reason, and it appears Alexander can sense A.T fields to a certain degree.

Evangelion Name: unit-31 (Dioscuri)
Weapons: Sonic Guillotine, Rocket Launcher, HE Bolt Gun, Core Knife
Appearance: Tall and well armored. The armor has a glassy blue finish with spashes of white. Sonic Guillotine appears to positioned near Core Knife for maximum power and damage. It appears to have 3 eyes and it's head generally contains a look of perplexity and intrigue. Though being extremely large, it has incredible locomotion due to it's manipulation of A.T fields. It has the Gemini constellation on one arm, as well as a number of other constellations, and a snaking shapes to represent The Tops, on it's shoulder
Soul: Curious. Constantly interested in the enemies, their abilities and origin, as well as intuitive of it's own existence. Constantly trying out new attacks and combinations on the fly. Occasionally, it will delay in attacking an enemy to better analyze it and also can lead to accidents in the field, when trying knew powers. Though Alexander acts upset with his Eva's behavior at times, Pollux finds it quite enjoyable, mainly because he is typically sharing the same feelings. It'll be a fun day when his Eva goes berserk.
Misc:Alexander, though having lost most of his family, seems to be making much progress. At times, he believes that Castor could easily pilot an Eva and would make a great partner. He quickly pushes these thoughts out of his mind, intense longing overtaking him when he thinks. In retrospect, Alexander didn't really have many friends on The Tops, but he has found great allies while being the pilot of an Eva. He even has a big brother. Together, Alexander and Unit-031 will keep back the Angel Menace, meanwhile Pollux and Dioscuri will see what other tricks they have up their sleeves.

Name: Mikhael Rev
Age: 15
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 120 lbs.
Blood Type: A
Rank: None
Character Type: Prodigy
Evangelion Type: Berserker

Physical Appearance: Very lanky, with nothing in the way of fat, and only the most rudimentary muscle tone, though he is slowly bulking up during his time as an Eva pilot. His hair is a shaggy, light brown swept up and to the left of his face. A well-defined brow, almost exclusively raised in a joyous expression. His eyes are brown, his nose and lips thin, and his face very youthful looking. Complete lack of stress lines, though there is a shine in his eyes that makes him look like he's about to cry most of the time.

Bio/History: Born on the day of Second Impact, Mikhael was born in Waukeegan, Illinois to his beaming parents, Jorge and Lois. Ever since he was a child, he was extremely odd. While most children were content to play with others and remain oblivious to the chaos around them, Mikhael was curious. He asked questions of his teachers; "What are we here for? Why is there evil? Is there really a God?"

Though they tried to quell these questions, his teachers never satisfied his curiosity. He retracted from the seemingly disintegrating world, gathering hundreds, perhaps thousands of books as he began to comb over them. He inspected all forms of literature, scoured the internet, watched every movie and television program he could find. He dabbled in countless instruments, though he excelled at none save the cello, his personal favorite. All of this in search of an answer. For our thousands of years to build, and learn, what did humanity truly achieve?

On his fourteenth birthday, Mikhael burst from his room, his grin broad enough to startle even the happiest of men. After spending his short life deliberating, he had an answer for himself. He attempted to reverse his lifestyle, suddenly becoming extroverted and friendly at school, insisting that his acquaintances-- as he interacted with no one long enough to call them friends-- call him by his last name, Rev. He felt it suited his new lifestyle better than Mikhael, which sounded like the name of a philosopher to him.

In his final year among his peers he built up a reputation as a thrill seeker, getting himself into dangerous situations as often as he could. He grew to love it. He was very near to becoming the most popular boy in school when the day came that he would leave his life behind, forever. He does not speak of how he was recruited to become an Eva pilot. Only that he doesn't like to stress himself about the past, and his eyes are now set firmly on the future.

Personality: Despite his soft appearance, Mikhael is extremely excitable. He is an optimist to a fault, even taking on the task of combating cosmic-level horrors with a light-heartedness that few can match. Suspicions abound that it is simply an act to hide the sheer terror he holds within him, though he will neither confirm or deny that. He only states that they should look at him whatever way will most inspire them.

His outlook is a state of forced optimism, as he describes it. Whatever he feels about a situation, he knows that if he looks past it to the good that can come if he gives it his all, even if he dies he might be able to give people hope. Hope to fight, and hope to win.

However, his attempts at being an inspiring individual are tempered by his immaturity. He loves comedy above all other things, and if he sees a joke that will make him laugh, he will make it no matter who it will offend. He also tends to be something of a romantic, over-describing things to a fault, and reverting back to his philosophical stage as he ponders the beauty of the night sky, or whatever girl happens to be standing next to him.

Other: Absolutely detests birds, reptiles, and moustaches. Or is amused enough by it to put on the act of detesting them.

Evangelion Name: Unit-27

Weapons: Progressive Knife Mk. II (x2), Battle Rifle, Core Knife

Appearance: Particularly muscled in appearance, Unit-27's head has a beastially-oversized lower jaw, colored yellow, with the rest of its cranium colored black as jet, with a single horn-like rod protruding from its forehead. Its eyes glow yellow and are visible underneath the helmet-like plating on its head. Its torso is standard in appearance for an Eva, with large yellow shoulder spikes accenting the heavily-plated black chest. Its legs are particularly large and strong, seeming to be designed for leaps and kicks more than sprinting. The color scheme continues as usual, black with yellow trim, through all of its body. Its arms are strongly-built and thick, with fingers sharp enough and strong enough to crush or stab as needed.

Soul: Unit-27 is curiously similar to Mikhael in more ways than one. It seems to love combat, heading into the fray at breakneck speeds and delivering unbridled enthusiasm in tearing Angels to shreds before finally finishing them off. However, for reasons that the staff at NERV have yet to explain, it seems to have developed an odd behavior. During battles, Unit-27 sometimes appears to react negatively to specific stimuli. These in particular are property damage, and the loss of life. While they initially wrote it off as the Eva responding in anger in accordance to the pilot's desires, they noticed that, even when berserking, Unit-27 tended to work particularly hard to force Angels outside of the city to battle, taking care to avoid populated areas. This caused them to speculate that it was actually feeling sorrow, or regret for the damage, and was attempting to avoid any further destruction.

No research into this potential motivation has been done, partly due it being forbidden by the Director, and partly because they would have no idea where to begin.

Misc: In an odd aversion to his earlier lifestyle, Mikhael has grown to despise most forms of media after observing them so much, particularly books and television, and actively avoids them all. He does, however, still enjoy the social aspect of the internet and so frequents computers whenever he has the time.

Name: Chris "Grim" Gannon

Age: 17

Height: 5'10

Weight: 200lbs

Blood Type: A positive

Rank: 2Lt.

Character Type: Neo-Spartan

Evangelion Type: Skirmisher

Physical Appearance: Very Lean, and muscular, with bluish-grey eyes, and short brown hair, Caucasian skin tone

Bio/History: Chris was around 4 when NERV abducted him to become a neo-spartan. Like nearly all children that were abducted, Chris was frightened out of his wits, and and did not wanna be a part of it. He was told that he would be one of the saviors of humanity and that he would battle things called Angels. He never really heard of Angels before except maybe hearing his parents talking about them every now and then. The training he went through was harsh, and slip-ups were punished severely. Everyday he would be taught military strategies and tactics. Also, he was taught all subjects he would learn in school, although there seemed to be more of an emphasis o mathematics and science. As he grew older, his teachers and trainers put more emphasis on learning about these Angels he continually heard about. The more and more he trained, the less and less he was social. He even went as far as becoming near strictly business in conversations, and soon became known to have a no-nonsense attitude. When the trainers started having the children spar with each other, Chris was exceptional in fighting, as well as efficient, and relentless. He would show little mercy, and in one incident, nearly beat a kid to death. The kid had to become taken to emergency care. Some of the other kids believed the child to be dead for he never returned to training, supporting this assumption was the fact that no trainer would talk about. This event would lead Chris to earn the nickname "Grim" which people who know him now call him by. He does not take offense to it, and in fact likes it, stating that the nickname makes for a great intimidation factor. Once the trainers started putting the training on the firing range, Chris started showing outstanding marksmanship, and quickly became adept at using sniper rifles. No one has come close to his abilities with a sniper rifle, and still holds that top score on the firing range. On the outside, Chris may seem strict, uncaring, and overall mean, but on the inside, he cares for his fellow team mates, quickly putting his life on the line to save them, and always having humanities best interests at heart. Chris is a great soldier and if you need results, he is the one to go to.

Other: NA

Evangelion Name: Unit-03 "Reaper"

Weapons: Chainsword, Long Mas Mk ll, Hand Cannon

Appearance:

Skinny with white-on-black color, with lean arms, and legs for increased speed and mobility while using its chainsword and when moving to better positions to better use its Maz rifle.

Soul: Unlike Chris, the evangelion has a bright, and social personality. Always wanting to talk to Chris and make him open up. Chris has come to believe that his evangelion does this sometimes just to annoy him. However, the evangelion is 100% serious when the times arise, and Chris respects that, and he also respects the fact that his evangelion seems to be in tune with some sort of samurai code, or heightened honor, always wanting to take on an Angel that is evenly matched. This explains the chainsword, but for some reason, it wants to take enemies out from afar with its Maz rifle before using the sword. For its attitude in serious situations, Chris has come to call his evangelion "Reaper" reason because the name suits the evangelion, and 2. in order to gain a stronger bond with it.

Name:Thirteen or Addison-13AB
Age:16
Height5'11
Weight: 115lbs
Blood Type: AB+
Rank: None
Character Type: Manufactured
Evangelion Type: Skirmisher

Physical Appearance:
Despite her thin features, she remains at the top of their charts in terms of Agility, Endurance, and Functionality. Being able to multitask and go head-to-head with any Neo-Spartan it gives her muscles definition. She is in no sense well-endowed and neither does she apply that much make-up unless necessary or appropriate. Addison also bears a tattoo on her left shoulder blade which is more of an imprint of a selection of words and numbers all relating to her.

Bio/History: Addison 13's story starts out as Addison-1, the original clone. Addison-1 had been manufactured genetically like many others to be the perfect human. Initially Addison-1 had excelled in every way imaginable and for a split-second she seemed to be the perfect human. Then Addison-1 committed suicide by jumping off the roof of a 20-story building. The exact reason as to why Addison-1 killed herself was put under the microscope as they searched hard within the Genetic code for any errors but there was none. The second Allison was made but produced the same results. This time she spoke out of character, as if there was a split personality within. The 2nd Addison killed herself using a knife. It wasn't until the fifth Addison until they found the root of the problem. A mental disorder had masked itself within the genome of material they had been using to recreate Addison. The disorders differed with each Addison, ranging from Shcizophrenia to extremely low levels of serotonin which results in a higher disposition to suicide even if nothing has happened to them. Another peculiar fact is that the suicidal tendencies occur from 13-16, the period in which the Addisons are released or prior too.

Addison-13AB has already surpassed the ages that the other Addisons had yet to reach and the scientists have been watching carefully giving her a mixture of Anti-Deppresents and supplementary medicines meant to stop the dysregulation in the serotonin pathway. It has been successful, so far.

Personality: Despite the other Addisons in the past, 13 has displayed "normal", and rational behavior even in the face of combat or pressure. Of course "normal" in their definition means cold, calculating, and offering little respite for error. She can't tolerate people who make mistakes and if she makes a mistake then self-destruction or chastisement is the only solution. She goes through great lengths to hide her own chastisement of herself. When talking to people she speaks slow, as if making sure she was saying her own words. In the vicinity of her "family" she is submissive, and whatever they ask of her, Addison follows. She retains some memories of her past bodies. Not exactly by genetics but an odd feeling she has if Addison goes through a supposedly "unopened" door only to see flashes of said room and her entering it without any memory of her doing such a thing. Not only that but there are bouts of the "other" personalities leaking through her words which is the reason why she speaks so slow.

Other: Thirteen knows of her past bodies and she displays no sign of discomfort when she is told the true fate of them. It was impregnated in her mind early on, that death was always around the corner for her. She likes to celebrate birthdays even though she has been convinced that everyone including her, is expendable.

Evangelion Name: Unit-09

Weapons: Shoulder Mounted-Heavy Rail Gun, Progressive Knife Mk.2, Mas Pistol

Appearance:

Soul: Cautious yet haphazard, sociable but shy. Unit-09 has no set way of thinking and it definitively is known to be agitated if it stayed in one place for too long unless it was setting up a firing solution. Curiosity is another trait in Unit-09's soul and it tends to go out searching for a new path or a new route to get a better sight on the enemy. It also a fan of "Shock and Awe", often destroying targets with one carefully timed strike then several which is why Thirteen thought it appropriate to have the Rail Gun.

[HEADING=2]Operations Director:[/HEADING]

Name:Damien Sandor
Age:47
Height:6'2"
Weight:158
Blood Type:O
Rank:Operations Director
Character Type:Impact survivor

Physical Appearance:

Gender-Male
Race/Ethnicity-American/German
Body type-Military Honed
Hair color/style-Black, short, with grey hairs every now and then.
Eye Color-light green
Skin color-Tanned
Facial Structure/Notable Features-Broad chinned and strongly shaped
Clothing/Typical Fashion/Outfit of Choice-Nerv Operations Director uniform when in facility and during formal business within the facility, outside of it depends.
Accessories-Asides from standard side arm, usually carries around a duffel bag with essentials and emergency equipment outside of Nerv.

Bio/History:

Personality-Prefers to keep work and social life separated at times and tries to keep the two separated when given the option. This does not mean he is not considerate of others and his pilots themselves when it comes to outside of work, as their well being are a part of his job and overall drive behind his actions at points.
Light of heart and strong willed his determination is usually masked by a relaxed attitude. During work he is all business and takes his job seriously.
Was considered a child genius and prodigy in a regular sense, but so far

History:32 years worth of history before the impact were lost in the most part. Father American and Mother German, Damien primarily grew up in America with his father due to divorce. his father was a doctor and his mother was the same, they met early in school, had him early, and split because of ethics and values they held to each other. They still kept contact and were constantly on and off, but Damien was never there point of affection or argument to cause them harm.

He grew up and was discovered to be an excellent learner and graduated high school by the age of 15 and 7 months. He went through a few years of studying and research in jobs, and eventually settled on being a lawyer, then eventually go about working his way up to a political position.

He would often visit Germany and on the fateful day of impact it would save his life. Due to the shaky nature of the relationship between his parents, close to 9 months after, his baby brother was born.

The two after a few years and with such a great age difference between them, one would think they'd get along terribly. Alongside the disasters and other outside forces acting upon, this was not to be. They got along splendidly and as his little brother grew, the resemblance between the two was striking.

Through a series of events better left quiet, he rose to Operations Director in a NERV branch, and was torn when his 11 year old brother was discovered to be a prodigy in their operations. While he was indeed close to his little brother, and the skill of him would later shine further in operations and subsequent attacks, things were still tense between the line of family and the job itself.

It would be even more tearing when during an attack by Angel their mother would be loss, and while he managed to help prevent it, his brother would lose his life in the process. Torn at the loss of his remaining family, he would instead convert the feelings of loss to those of steel determination against the cause of what had occurred.

Further to aggravate his morals and ideals was the fact a synthetic appeared to replace his brother. Despite being female the resemblance was uncanny and would cause him to later transfer to another location not being able to stand looking at something that could remind him so easily of his loss.

Other:Suffers from insomnia and has prescribed medication, but prefers to use it sparingly with his job as an Operations Director.
Tendency to avoid mirrors and other highly reflective surfaces.
Is an avid reader and off-work marksman as hobbies

Because some people want to play a game where you're a teenage soldier sitting in a tank full of essence of life stolen from a divine being's wounds, plugged into the back of a fifty story monster with alien and human DNA, imprisoned with cybernetic parts and a soul trapped inside it so you can sync with it and contaminate your mind while fighting an invincible otherworldy ************ that alters local physics simply by existing and is trying to revive a second divine being that sees humanity the same way you see termites on your foundations.

Gonna be honest here, I'm not sure you'll find many fans of the anime or people who want to play characters under 20, without the option of being older.

I however, I find the lore interesting, so I'll give it a shot.

Oh well, let me just start making my character.

Edit: Now under spoiler tags. You happy?

Edit 2: I just re-worked it a bit. Give it a look if you have time.

Here is my sheet.

Misc: NA

Not quite finished, need to make a minor change or two.
Also, I have a question about the Eva's: Are they able to talk to each other and everyone around them, or are they able to just communicate with their pilot, or can they communicate at all?

<spoiler=Operations Director>

My bid for the Operations director, if you have any issues or details that need to be worked out feel free to tell me.
I might also post a pilot in case someone else arrives or you decide to act in game as the director instead at any point.

No problems. Approved :D .
I knew someone would get the chainsword, it's a fuckawesome weapon for when you and the angel are right in each other's faces.

Yes, pilots can talk to each other from within the plug. They can talk to people outside the plug by amplifiers. The Evangelion itself can only make roaring sounds, or not even that if it's jaws have been wired shut.

TheNaut131
Your bio is weird and screws up the Eva backstory. I almost didn't allow it, but I appreciate what you tried to do with having emotional impact in the character's past and motivating him to be a pilot. Also- he would probably be considered a Prodigy, because at 3 a person isn't really capable of fending for themselves. Approved :D

You didn't say what color your evangelion is.

33 is too young for the rank. Even for a genius, he should be around his 50's. Fix that and I'll reconsider
Denied :/ but easily fixed.

I have to get in on this. It is simply not an option to stay away.

Yeah, I was worried about that. I just sorta started typing and kinda ignored the fact I was changing the history of this world. And now that I think about it, he probably would be more of prodigy character type. Especially with the whole A.T. field angle I was heading for. Alright, thanks for the feedback!

Here's a PM conversation that I thought was important:

Grim327: said:
Ok so Evangelions can't really talk aside from making roaring sounds, but can they communicate at all with their pilots? Like some sort of telepathy, or by talking through each others soul? or something like that?
Not like "talk" talk. The Eva has been lobotomized- pieces of it's brain have been removed and replaced with machinery so the pilot can control it. And any advanced communications means it has become self-aware, and berserks.

No, the communication will be if the form of emotions, maybe one or two words, but not conscious thought. Emotions are the language of the soul- They exist within the A.T. field and can intertwine with other A.T. fields. Have you ever felt tension in a room where the air seemed thick and impenetrable? Even the weak human A.T. field is capable of affecting the environment.

---

A terrific character. Approved :D

Better. Your sheet was pretty choppy- some consolidation would be nice. Approved.

---

In the end the final decision we all must take:
make or break, to decide what will be.
And choose our destiny.

If we lose the fight Armageddon will finally tell:
burn in hell, there will be no after,
be no other day.
