EVE Escapists?

I played EVE a while ago and enjoyed the two weeks I got. I'm looking to get back into it again but I need someone to mooch off help me.

Any Escapists willing to help out an EVE newbie?

(Note: If you're just going to say "Why would you play EVE?", "EVE is so boring." or something similar, please press backspace.)

And Richard, there ARE gamecards, but as far as I'm aware, you can't buy them in shops. Don't ask.

Actually I'm very fond of space games like EVE and I'd like try it, but to my knowledge you can't pay for the subscription with gamecards (a la WoW) hence I wouldn't be able to play after the free trial :\.

You can buy GTC's with paypal and get them emailed to you. Considering CCP's system is a little buggy sometimes, using this method is a safer, if a little more expensive, way of doing things ($30 for 60 days via CCP, $35 for a 60 day timecard. Can't get 30 day cards anymore).

Oh God, why did you do that? Why? Exams are around the corner, but a 21 day EVE trial dangles before me. Anyone care to hook me up?

I'm on the same page as Danny Ocean, here. I've played the game a time or two before, but in absence of playing with people, I sort of dropped out of it. But I'm always ready to take another shot.

I've gone through a couple trials, but I mainly gave up because of real-life time constraints, having to micromanage my own clan, TF2, and so on. If you guys are able to muster together an Escapist corporation in EVE I may give it another attempt.
