Hello, I'm trying to get into EVE, but unfortunately every time I try I get bored and go play Neotokyo or FarCry 2 or CoD4. I guess my question is, what is the quickest way to get into something worth playing in EVE? I'm told its a lot more fun when you get into it, but it can never hold my attention longer than a week or two.

...Preferably this can lead me into piracy, because that's what I want to get into.

If you don't like it, don't play it? I don't think a game where you have to force yourself through boredom to get to the good stuff is worth playing.

I have some spare eye patches and stuff if you want:p

I've never played EVE but my friend said it's not too good.

If you want some action early on with quite good pay off, try smuggling you can do this either by buying illegal stuff and going to "shady" space stations to sell it for big profit, or of course take contracts from other players for cash. Either way your bound for big explosions and avoiding pirates.

If you want to be a pirate I'd still advise it, my friend does this jazz and he's sitting on a small mountain of credits, more than enough to buy a nice big battle ship...

Get into EVE university. They are awesome at teaching new guys the basics. One of the largest corps too.

well the thing about EvE that there is no need to get to lvl 80 or whatever to be able to access the "fun part" of the game. But because people are used to this from other mmo's they often think they have to grind, and get better in EvE before they can go join a corp or have fun. Nonsense, what you do is train propulsion jamming, fit warp jammers, an afterburner, and whatever guns and survival mods you can into your high and low slots on any frigate, then you take the baby to town. Anyway i'd suggest you find a player corp to join asap, this game gets very lonely and boring on your own. I'd recommend you look up eve university and join them if your a new players, they'll train you and help you out. Also a lot of corp will recruit straight out of them.
