ever been so lucky (or I suppose good) that you've been accused of cheating online

Eh, only once in one of those free multiplayer shooters. Combat arms I think. I got a lucky streak, and got accused of cheating. I can't be too mad about it. That game was so full of holes you frequently encountered a player who somehow made about several headshot kills per second. For a full minute. With a knife. While in his own base. On every enemy on the map as they respawned. Given that, any lucky or good player becomes a very probable cheater.

I don't think luck or skill has anything to do with it, people who do this have sensitive egos so they have to contrive reasons to explain their loss, at least that's the way I look at it :p

I've been accused of cheating in the old Stick Arena because I was always a beast with the Katana.

Me personally? Nope, 'cos I'm a shit gamer...

One of my friends, though, is a former pro CSS gamer and got kicked from three servers for 'cheating' in less than two hours. One of them even challenged him to quit using an AWP, so he got a Scout and continued to own... *shrug*

I've been accused of having a modded controller many times whilst playing Call of Duty, when really I can just press the trigger fast. The most amusing time was when I'd been using a fully automatic gun the entire game...

a buddy of mine playing one of those korean fps games had a 50/8 kd ratio in one game needless to say he got banned

ive pulled this off once or twice in games where you can choose to use a melee weapon over guns because i like using melee weapons i tend to get really good with them

EDIT conquers bad furday comes to mind as my friends would never allow me to get a katana

halo 3's gravity hammer was an example it would have been the laser sword but my (asian) friends plotted out how to get it in every map

Whenever I hit MVP as Spy in TF2 I get a huge haccuse. Also, every new kid that never heard of the Dead Ringer.

Yes, I am claiming to be a good spy. Least I used to be one till I quit playing Hat Fortress 2. What most spies don't understand is that you don't have to fear being killed. Learn to cheat death. Dead Ringer <3

Was playing Call of Duty 4 on this one random server, but I didn't have many other choices--Alaska is limited when it comes to servers with under 100 ping. Aaanywho, important notes: It was a Hardcore server, and I was using only my handgun, switching between the 1911 and the H&K USP, getting decent kills, when the server admin started raging in a very well-tempered manner--I still remember the messages he sent:

"Are you hacking?"
"Because anyone who gets that many kills using just their sidearm has to be hacking."

I suddenly felt really uncomfortable being on the server, and sensed what would happen a minute or two later. But in the meanwhile I tried to calm him down saying I always used the pistol because I enjoyed the challenge, and that I was skilled by being used to playing on servers with 200 ping or more; that the reduced ping boosted my speed a significant deal, and that it was simply good aim that was aiding me in getting so many points, with bandolier providing the ammunition needed to only use my virtual handgun.

I tried to avoid telling him outright that he and his one or two clan mates that were also online sorta sucked; running out into the open and not checking corners.

Eventually he replied with something I don't remember exactly, buuut he was typing while hiding behind a large dumpster, aaaand I ran around the dumpster, and unlike him and his buddies, I checked behind the dumpster...aaaand I sorta shot him.

I do remember the message he sent after I shot him while he was typing, and immediately before I was banned from the server. I sent:
"Sorry!"
And he sent:
"..."
And then the server sent:
"Banned from server."

And I rolled my eyes and connected to a different server where I immediately got my digital ass handed to me by a bunch of jerks with MP5s, steady aim, and marathon.

I have this happen all the time. Apparently if you do well with ANYTHING in a call of duty game you're cheating.

Kill someone with any weapon? You were camping and using the most OP thing in the game.

Kill someone with a semi automatic weapon? You're using a rapid fire controller.

Kill someone with a headshot? Obvious aimbot.

Kill someone through a wall? Obvious wallhack.

Kill someone with the knife? Obvious lag-switching.

Why can't people ever admit that they just aren't as good as they think they are?

Only ever been accused of cheating once. I was playing Sphess Mehreen on line, I managed a max kill streak and got a kill death ration of something like 8:1 which made me a cheat according to one of the opposition. Only if playing as a Raptor like they actually function in the tabletop game is cheating..........

All the goddamn time on Ace of Spades- see, most people don't stay on a server too long. If you do, your kill count inevitably ramps up, even if, like me, you aren't so great at shooting things. If you have a KC above, say, 100, people start getting mad when you get headshots on them. "Aimbot!" they cry.

Luckily, it'll never get you kicked, because you've been playing long enough for most people to know you've earned the kills (assuming you know to manually change your name in config, and become more than a "Deuce(XX)" to them

I apparently have a pretty decent trigger finger, because I was accused of having a modded controller using the FAL in MW2. Funny though how that never happened in Black Ops, even though I use the FAL there too.

all the time i get accused of using a hacked controller when i use a semi automatic. sonidering i can pull the trigger 80 times in ten seconds i dont think its fair for me to use the semi auto's but i dont care

COD 4, 32 people in Killhouse, 30 minute time limit. Seven hundred and fifty one kills, 78 deaths. To explain how this happened.
Overkill with dual machine guns,
Take cover behind the wall opposite the entrance of the wooden building,
Spam bullets back at the guys spamming rounds at you through the wall,
Get a helicopter, use it,
Get ANOTHER helicopter, use it,
keep spamming until you run out of ammo for both weapons, knife, knife
die,
die,
kill the camper, spammmmm
and repeat all the above until the time limit runs out.
I got a 58 kill streak at one point because of this. Invited into the server, and people were like "NFW anyone can get that many kills in half an hour." Blame the insta-spawn, and the deep penetration perk. After the second round where I got that high score, I left and never visited that server again. That wasn't a fighting match, that was luck.

Many times, I got a ban on CS;S for having over 400 kills. baring in mind I had been playing for most of the day, and the match was for an infinite amount of time.

And for team fortress 2. I was a sniper, and I managed to dominate every player on the other team. I got banned for essentially being too good at that particular match.

Not me personally; I do decently, but not great, rarely above a ratio of like 1.5 to 3.

My friend on the other hand gets hack accusations all the time because of his predilection for using semi-automatic rifles at very, very long ranges. He has a 25" (possibly bigger) monitor; he likes finding a nice defensible spot on games like BFBC2 or CoD (MW2 or BlOps) and picking people off at really long ranges with pretty much any sight; worst offence is using the M14 on Arica Harbour, BFBC2 across the map as a counter sniper; gets snipers all riled up and the aimbot accusations start flying. People claim he's a hacker, but really, its because he's patient and is a pretty good judge distance and aiming ahead of people; its not that he gets tons of kills, but the fact he makes them at such obscene ranges.

Only once, but that was because I actually was cheating. Not on a public server, though. I was mucking about on TF2 with a friend, and though it would be funny to cheat. We were usually even, with him probably being the better player, but when I went 10 for 0 he knew something was up.

Other than that, no. I'm really not good enough for someone to think I'm cheating.

I've had my fair share of accusations in TF2. Enemy Spies have accused me of hacking because they don't realize that they make a telltale noise when decloaking right behind someone. I've also been accused of aimbotting during those rare times when I'm doing particularly well as a Sniper. One player even claimed that I was using an aimbot for the Huntsman. How the hell would that even work?
