Yes, I did. I was playing as May in Sapphire, and I was fishing. I found and caught a Corphish. When I went to the PC, he had PokeRus. It's 1/3 the chance of finding a shiny. So, about 1 in 24000. In order to spread it, you just have to keep fighting on with the non-infected ones being next to infected ones without a cured one in between.

It does it randomly, try switching them around in your party menu it worked for me once. Make sure to keep one that has the virus in your PC so you don't lose it. Did you look up EVs?

In all my hundreds of hours of playing the various Pokemon games I have never gotten Pokerus.

I feel sad.

Wait, is the PokeRus that Purple sign above your pokemon's profile that has the PKRS letter's in it? I have it above one of my pokemon and never knew what it meant....
Thanks for clearing that up for me!

No, because I hate the whole Meta-game aspect of Pokemon.
I sort of do too, it sucks all the fun out of it, but it was just me and my one friend playing every other day so I didn't have to deal with playing obsessives on wi-fi. Some people just take that stuff way too far.

I receved one via GTS, however it was clealy a "hacked" pokemon, which took the fun out of it.
To give it to other pokemon you must be holding them in your party with the infected pokemon. Check out bulbapedia, they have plenty of infomation on pokemon, even if some pages are a little hard to read.

Wait. What is PokeRus? (PokéRus?) I've never heard of it.
The Pokemon Virus (PokeRus) is an easter egg in the series that doubles the effort values your fighting (non-exp share, non-day care) Pokemon. When you take an infected Pokemon to Nurse Joy, they'll tell you something happened. You have three days to use the virus until it goes away.
What's an effort value? Effort value is the numbers certain Pokemon have when they are defeated. Those numbers dictate to an extent how their stats raise when they level up (rare candy has 0 EV). If you fight Jolteon a lot, the speed will be higher upon the next level-up. The most EVs a raised Pokemon can have is around 250. There is also a limit for each stat. Go to Bulbapedia for anything you don't understand.

You do realize Pokerus is a pokemon virus that doubles the effort values gained in battle while the Pokemon in question has the virus right?

It has nothing to do with Persona 4.

yeah i know

its just that in rare cases yosuke gets this weird eyeball thing on his persona stat screen

since it does similar things to the stats (i believe) everyone called it pokerus as a joke

Now I feel stupid.

Better play more Persona 4 to see that. Thanks for telling me about that.

Yes. I've spread it to all of my main team.

You know, I wonder why it's considered a disease when it essentially turns your Pokemon into SuperPokemon. It seemed to me that Nurse Joy said it as a bad thing. I get an EXP boost!
