Ever caught them all?

Almost in Pokemon Blue. I have about 135ish. The only ones I don't have are ones from trade evolutions, Safari Zone, and Mew. I recently found out it is possible to get Mew without cheating (or a special event) so I wish I could do that but I'm past the point where you can.

I completed Pokemon Yellow when I was 7. Even caught 6 Mews, from a special event at Toys R Us.

I have always wondered what happens when you talk to the gamefreak staff guy. There is a guy in the majority of the pokemon games who tells you to talk to him again when your pokedex is complete. I want to know what happens with him.

Well in Yellow Version, you get a little "congratulations!" certificate, which you can print out if you have one of those ultra-rare gameboy printers. It wasn't much, but it felt satisfying.

I have never "caught them all", and would be ashamed of myself if I had. What would it prove? That's i've got waay too much spare time, and i don't know a decent way of using it.

I did on red and blue :O All 151 (with the cheat to get mew) It isn't acctually that hard to do and I was about 6 or 7 at the time and thought it would have been awesome to have all of them and it was for like a day

I didn't cheat until they started making it necessary to use action replay devices to make certain Pokemon accessible.

got 150 on pokemon red a few years back, totally legit. I owe alot to my brother who had blue and also a habit for restarting alot, so I stole his eevee twice without him noticing.

on blue i had them all apart from 3 i was missing from my red game. I even had mew on blue aswell

I'm missing a few pokemon from Diamond (Event Legendaries except Darkrai), and aside from Event Legendaries I got everything in Fire Red.

The latter helped with the former. So did the Global Trade system.

I actually managed to get people to trade their starters with me for normal pokemon.

I want to know, what happens when you catch them all? Because at celedon city, there is a place which rates your pokedex.
The guy in there says that if you complete it you get a special prize. What is it?

I caught them all in Sapphire and red. But thats because I traded with friends.

A story my friend told me is that a piece of gum comes out of the game cartridge for you to eat. The gum is rock hard and old though because it takes so long to catch them out. But when you eat the gum you get to brag to your friends.

Not yet. Problem is, celebi and several others are basically impossible without cheats (celebi has only been given out once to the Japanese players for generation 2, NO OTHER TIME).

got 150 on yellow, never got mew though, im considering digging out my old gameboy soon since iv got 4 more weeks of school before a 3 month holiday before university starts, depends how much i enjoy Borderlands
