Ever dream about a game before its release?

Okay, I just had this weird dream last night.

It was a dream about South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

I dreamt that I watched another trailer to the game, but I didn't see much, there was a fight scene that played similar to Stick of Truth, but the New Kid was fighting alone against a group of enemies I didn't recognize.

At least at first, the New Kid himself didn't attack, but he instead picked an option called "Rescuers" which seemed to be some altered version of the Summons from Stick of Truth.
The first of these 'Rescuers' that New Kid called over was Clyde, who simply appeared out of nowhere and flipped the bird at the group of baddies, causing one of the mooks to leave the scene. Clyde promptly left the scene afterward

The New Kid then summoned Terrence and Phillip, who both dealt with the rest of the mooks by unleashing a series of rapid-fire farts that knocked out the rest of the enemies, the dream ended here.

Has anyone else had something like this happen to them? have you dreamed about a game before it was even released?

I remember having a dream about The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword a few weeks before its release. Since I had seen all the trailers and knew how the game looked, I remember the dream feeling familiar to what I saw in trailers. However, at some point, Link was in Peach's Castle from Super Mario 64, the Boo fountain to be precise. I have no idea why, but it was kinda cool.

I remember having one about Pokemon X and Y too, but I don't remember a thing about it.

I've had dreams that involved games, or elements of them, but nothing memorable.

I got something similar, except I have such a low opinion of games I don't want to waste precious dream time on the fun I won't be having when it comes out. Guess my subconscious is too tired of shitty titles.

OP: I have had dreams of games that don't exist. Space Marine 2 was badass as far as I can tell.

When I was in my mid-teens I had a dream about Freedom Fighters before it released, about a year after it was first announced (and when I thought the project had died). In my dream it had this whole open world thing to it where you could go around undercover and stuff and build up your resistance movement.

Game turned out to not be as good as my dream I have to say. Not bad, but not as good as what my imagination conjured up.

Other than that I can't really pick out any specific ones no. Then again I've had trouble remembering my dreams for the past few years. Very troubled sleep with the pressures of work.

One of the earliest (That I can remember) was Metal Gear Solid 4 & only last year I dreamt of Alien: Isolation a lot.

Yeah, about Final Fantasy XV - because at the time I was writing a theory about the likely 'plot' of the story (this was before I realized the writers went batshit crazy on FF13 and therefore the plot here could be the same) and I ended up dreaming about it.

Ended with Prompto dying, which I was not okay with because that should never happen. Ever. Fucking hell.

No not before release but rather if I've been playing a game for a while it may creep in. I've had dreams that involved setting up raids in WoW, for example, ranging from nightmares about raid-leading BWL (after many failed attempts at Razorgore because of inept hunters and a failure to kite) to dreams about crushing Ulduar with no boss deaths. Thats just an example.
I also had a dream I was stuck inside Shadow Moses during MGS1, not as Snake but as a guard being stalked by Snake... chilling.
