Ever failed first level?

Any NES-era game that also happened to be a film tie-in: I swear they just made them excessively hard to make up for the complete lack of level design (left to right, with bad guys in between).

Also I Wanna Be The Guy, for obvious reasons. And most games when they're on the harder difficulty settings. And... to be honest, this happens to me more than I'd like to admit.

Other than that I made absolutely no progress in Majora's Mask other than first entering clocktown or whatever it was called.

I sort of expected this thread to be about dying on the first level...'cause I've done that in Super Mario Bros. more times than I'd care to admit. I've never been stuck like that, though.

CoD 4 level 1

This guy just kept dragging me out of a car, tying me up and shooting me. Couldn't beat it. Returned the game I was so mad. Must've missed a quick time event or something.

haha yeah I played that lotr game, that part was stupid. Yeah, I've lost on the first level with several games. Hm... Splinter Cell DS was pretty hard... and not worth it...

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on Game Gear... a completely different game than its Genesis counterpart and the first boss was one of the hardest in the game.

Mine was Rogue Squadron on the Gamecube.. I could do the rest fine, but I'd always die trying to fire that goddamn photon torpedo, or get anally violated by darth vader and the elite TIEs before i even got a chance to.

I died on the intro to LBP. Somehow the rainbow that appears in the background ended up hitting me, and it pushed me through the ground onto the building blocks of the level maker, making me unable to beat the level. It never happened again.
