Ever feel the need to rush through games?

Often I find myself with a lot of games piling up that I want to play, and sometimes the number of games that I want to get through feels a little overwhelming due to not having all the time I need to play through them (due to social needs and other things).. so sometimes I find myself rushing through a game just to get to the next. In reality it's kinda silly, because my unplayed games aren't going anywhere and I can take as long as I need to get to them. But still I often get an urge to hurry through my games, and it seems that when I finally reach a credits screen I don't get the feeling of, "oh, its over already :/"... Instead I get the feeling of "Excellent, now I can move onto the next thing." even if the game I was playing was pretty good.

It seems like it's only the really exceptional games where I feel like its a shame when they're over. And it's only on these games where I actually take my time and don't rush. Most recent example is Mass Effect 2. Everything else I just want to speed through.

yes because people have the tendency to walk walk in on me playing through the climax of the game, so I rush it and ruin the experience.

If I have a game that I enjoy very much.. I avoid playing it as much as I can just so that way I can enjoy it for a longer period of time. There are games that I got last year that I still haven't beat, and I'm still getting joy out of playing them.

I mean sure I could go back and play them again when ever.. But the feeling is freshness is lost on that game forever when I know how major plot points turn over..

*childish giggles*

OT: I tend to avoid side missions a lot in games as I really want to carry on with the main storyline, though that can be a bad move, especially in JRPGs.

I only feel that I need to rush through a game when I don't want to play it for much longer. I hate having to beat the games that I have. But in RPGs and JRPGs I actually do all of the side mission that I can for some reason.

Only when they're really terrible. I rushed through Kameo because 1/4 of the way in I decided I hated it, but I really wanted the achievements for at least finishing it. It was one of my first 360 games, I was just anal like that back then.

When the game starts to drag on i start to rush.

KH for the DS i did that about halfway through the game. The missions started to get really repetitive and boring with such a small story reward that i just started running through missions asap just to get to the end where the story stopped sucking.

I swear it took 20 plus missions once for any important story to actually emerge. I'm sorry i bought this game to learn about roxas not tinkerbell.

Funnily enough, I hate it when the GAME tries to rush me by giving me a time limit to do something... I can't really explain why I hate that, when I frequently rush anyway. Weird.
