I'm quick to anger, but it also doesn't last very long at all. I can't hold a grudge or stay angry for very long. However, when someone does manage to really piss me off long enough for me to do something about it, it doesn't end well.

A few years back in college one night, my friends and I were relaxing on the porch of our dorm after having a few drinks, enjoying our smoking time and chatting. This incredibly annoying freshman who didn't even live in our dorm but kept coming over, showed up. After bumming yet another cigarette from one of us, she went inside to "use the bathroom" and polished off all of the unfinished drinks still sitting in the lounge. She then came back outside, now drunk, and started kicking and punching me, trying to get me to fight her, to prove how tough she was.

Now, a little background on me. I'm a fairly tough, tomboyish, punk-ish girl. My friends and I regularly sparred on the green for fun. I was also wearing my steel-toed boots at the time. The girl that kept kicking and hitting me was a hipster from New York. I tried to ignore her and have a pleasant time with my friends, but she wouldn't let up kicking and punching me, so I finally snapped. I stalked down to the green, she followed acting all arrogantly, and I proceeded to kick the shit out of her. She ended up in a fetal position on the ground, but she kept trying to get back up. I kicked her a few more times, she finally stayed down, unable to get back up, and I calmed down and went back inside.

She got back up after a while, followed us back inside(half of the doors into our dorm don't lock), and punched me as hard as she could in the arm. I raged, took a few steps towards her, and she booked it. She really made me lose it.

I've only ever had one incident where i've completely lost it at another person after they'd been throwing rocks at my sister. Thankfully all that entailed was me giving them a punch in the face and knocking them to the floor.
Do kind of regret it though, if only because i could have done a lot worse given different cirucmstances.

My temper does worry me sometimes though, i can't stand people who think they're better than you and insult as such - working in retail isn't the best idea if you have this problem.

Nope although there has been like two or three times that I almost lost it (sort of like the barrier holding my anger had crack).
When this happen I just have to get out of there one way or another.

I've lost control more times that I care to recall.

There was one really interesting time though, at secondary school One guy pissed off my mate, and my mate grabbed a chair and smashed it over the other guy's back. Now, he dropped and couldn't move an' all that, but it turned out my mate had broken they other guy's back!

Of course, he got expelled pretty much on the spot for that, but no-one ever fucked with him again.

so I was just wondering have any of the people at the escapist have ever lost control.

For me it would have to be when this guy name Dillon and I got into a fight at first I thought that it would be a violent yet harmless fist fight, but after I was winning he pulled a knife on me when he came at me I dodged until I couldn't any more than I tackled him to the ground and slammed his hand onto a rock and knocked the knife out of his hand. I then proceeded to grab the knife and go for his neck if the principal had not stopped me I would be in jail right now. I don't know why I went for his neck I just did I was just wondering if anybody else had lost control like that.
You don't sound much better than him. In fact from that you sound like you belong in a very specialised school.

Nope, never even been angry enough to get into a fight. I've wanted to, but I'd probably get my ass handed to me. Never hulked out and lost control, so either I'm incredibly easy going, or I'm saving it all up.

When I get properly angry, I go completely feral and don't remember anything afterwards and I become unusually strong and fast (I guess I have really strong adrenaline rushes). Luckily it takes actual bodily harm to me or someone I care about for me to lose it like that. When I go like it though I don't react to pain, all it does is make me angrier and therefore stronger.

Nope. Never been in a violent altercation, though, so I've never tested it.

Still, I can't imagine ever losing control of my actions- I remember, on a few occasions, being so angry at something I just wanted to punch the wall. I pulled my arm back... and then I lowered it, accepting that a high velocity impact would likely hurt my hand in a most regrettable manner.

That's really about as low as I can go, after such a display I'll be super calm again. Like logical reasoning suffocates any flames in my head.

That.... Sounds kinda hard to believe. As well as many of the other stories here.
But who am I to doubt you?

I never lose control and physically rage, but mentally my loss of control and flow of not-so-good thoughts happens quite often.

Was one lad who grew fond of beating me up about 6-7 years ago when I was still in folkeskole. One day I lost my temper and for whatever reason he only showed up for school a few times a month after that.

I was never aggressive though, and he'd have kept beating the not so helpless nerd for years if I hadn't, so I feel no remorse or pity. =)

Whenever I use violence its usually for a very specific purpose. There's been a couple times where I've punched one of my friends just pissed off, but not hard enough to harm really.

I lose control a lot and just kind of numbly glide through days not thinking or trying to change the course of events, but instead just acting on reflex and instinct. But I'm not violent when I lack control, because I generally have to force myself to violence.

I'd probably be afraid of your appearence, never mind your temper.

Damn, I'm such a wuss compared to how I used to be...
Ha, my temper hardly ever flares up that badly. It takes persistence and dedication to really piss me off. I'm usually the most laid-back, easy going, friendly person ever, I swear! I look a lot scarier than I really am. Most people are just put off/can't get past the multiple piercings, super-short, choppy/messy hair usually dyed something unnatural, two tattoos, and my usual attire of a wife beater, ratty jeans, and my beloved doc martens. That, or the chain smoking.

Oh, epilogue of the story. The next night, she came back and challenged my roommate to a fight. My roommate makes me look like a care bear. She's fluent in Sumerian(which is terrifying to hear her swear/threaten in), keeps a dagger in our room, and keeps a bag of poison hemlock in her desk drawer, along with a concentrated mixture of hemlock and water in our fridge, "just in case." She is also proficient in fencing and unarmed combat.

It was a short fight. Freshman are dumb.

I have a few:

I once thought of bringing a screwdriver into school so people will stop bullying me. Thankfully my mate Ryan knocked 7 shades of shit out of me to make me realise I was being insane and stupid.

Everyone was bullying me in a class once and I was in tears, it was only when one of them actually got physical that I lost control, so when he was sitting down I knocked him off his chair and started kicking him in the chest and face, knocked the *****'s tooth out (he was a guy BTW).

A lad poured chemicals all over my work and my hands in science (which fucking stung) so I knee'd him in the face, broke his glasses and gave him a black eye. And he expects me to pay him back for the broken glasses, still to this day.

Oh and I tried to attack someone with a souldering iron in Technology (a souldering iron WILL MELT YOUR SKIN) when he threatoned my 3 year old cousin (which he would do because he already battered this lad's 6 year old sister because it was "fucking funny").

Shit I think I need psychological help.

Um... maybe once or twice. It doesn't matter though, even when I get really mad, I STILL get my ass kicked if it comes to physical combat... '-_-
Same here, that's why (as I said in my post before) when someone bullies me I wait until there back is turned and jump them like a *****.

Hardly loss of control. You fought for your life, your instincts told you to kill him. Besides if he pulled a knife you're in the right if you kill him.

Ive lost my shit once though when I was young and in the "Scouts" a guy had been pissing all over me for an entire day, so in the end I snapped when he had insulted me and turned around to walk away. My friend there basicly said my eye's went black and cold (Not literally black, but rather the way I was looking at him) then I went after him my hand trying to pull my knife free, my intent was to kill him, he basicly had to die. My friend though tripped my leg and wrestled me to the ground because he knew what was gonna happen and locked my limbs and kept me put till I calmed down. I'd likely have spent time in jail or "juvinile jail" had he not done that. And honestly even if I had killed him, I wouldn't have regretted it, that fuck was a waste of space ;)

I got pissed about something stupid and stabbed a hunting knife into my wall.

Even angry as hell, I still have control.
