I was at a dinner with John Nash once. He's a nice guy overall, sort of quiet. Tried speaking to him, but his accent was so thick I couldn't understand a word of what he said. His wife is lovely though.

Not sure if it counts, but I met Forrest Griffin, and he trained at the martial arts center I go to. He was insanely tall, and incredibly muscular. Nice guy, though.

I work with quite a lot of musicians - a lot who play festivals, etc.

But my favourite most random situation happened at a charity event we were doing two years ago. I was up in the Production office, doing ma thing, and the work experience girl came up to me asking if I had a blackberry charger as one of the celebrities wanted to borrow one. Of course, I do, we have spares (for emergencies) but I joked around saying "yeah, well, they can borrow it but only if they're awesome. Z List doesn't count". About five minutes later, Rod Stewart appeared at the door and said to me "thanks so much for letting me borrow this, I always forget to charge it properly!" and just walked off. I think my jaw was sufficiently close to the floor at this.

Another of my favourite random stories was when I was working my first job at Reading Festival about 6-7 years ago, and I was working on the main stage, basically taking competition winners up on stage to see their favourite band play the first three songs or whatever. I can't remember which band it was during, but it was quite quiet, not many people had decided to go side of stage and I was just watching these two guys who were totally ecstatic and bouncing around obviously having the time of their lives (and to make sure they didn't run off) when this guy said in my ear "they look like they're having fun! mind you I love this band" and I turned around to like smile and say "yeah they're awesome" and it was Dave Grohl and I just went "YES." and I just turned right back round to the band and was like in complete oh my god state. I can't believe to this day its all I said to him. What a lame, lame thing to do. I totally freaked.

P.S. Sorry for any terrible english today, my brain is frazzled after a rather large panic attack this morning and I can't seem to focus properly :|

Russell Crowe, Turns out he is a big Rugby fan (not a suprise these days because he is part owner of one of the competitive teams) and my father was the organiser for the match between his favorite team (The Axeman) Vs. our local team (The Panthers) and my father and i were sitting up in the booth and then Crowe walked in and we had a chat and a beer. (even though it was still a month til i was old enough to drink but no one but my father knew that) Really nice bloke actually, he owns a home around here somewhere and comes here for christmas.

I went to comic con earlier this year with the company I work for. We had press passes and I tagged along for when they went to meet some people from the adult swim panel in the press room afterwords. So I met Doc Hammer and Jackson Public (Creators of the Venture Brothers.) They're fucking awesome. As opposed to just going up to those big photoshoot wall things, they seriously just went around and sat at the tables and had conversations with everyone there. Really cool guys.

Doc Hammer pulls off being a weird eccentric exceptionally well. Extremely funny and charismatic guy.

I also met the whole voice cast of Archer, though unfortunately that's how I discovered the show, so I didn't get the chance to geek out.

That's about as close as I've gotten.

Uh... not super famous, but I met Matthew Reilly at a book signing last year. Cool guy.
I love his books. That ************ can really keep momentum with text, and that's an extremely rare trait nowadays.

The frustrating part is that i have been close to some very famous people but i have never actually got the chance to speak to them. :(

I have been within a few metres of: The Swedish King, Swedens arguably biggest actor (Mikael Persbrandt), A leader of a political party in sweden (The Green Party) and the french foreign policy minister (can't remember his name).

Add to that that i've been close enough to see the facial expressions of 1. The Pope 2. Lady Gaga.

I feel cheated.

David Dickinson, you can all suck it. He was a little bit of a diva.

I saw Jimmy Carr in Scotland but didn't stop to talk, because I though he'd pick on me X3

I've met Herman Li from Dragonforce at a gig before. He was a bit of an arsehole.
And I bumped into Colin Farell once, he was pretty funny.

I met Sir David Attenborough last year, and he is a lovely chap. His favourite ice-cream is vanilla and his favourite animal is the Sloth. MY favourite animal is the Sloth, so that was awesome.
Then why is your avater a snake, and not a sloth? XD

But no, I never met famous people(I think so, I don't know too many 'famous' peoples' names or faces, simply don't care)

I met Humphey Littleton before he died. Really nice guy!

Additionally, my uncle is a part time actor, who was in an episode of Murdoch Mysteries and has starred alongside Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz in a film a few years back...does that count?

Oh, also, my mum is a teacher and she taught Tom Felton, the guy who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films

my camera was stolen later that day, so I don't have those memories anymore T-T

Well, I met Boney M this summer. We shook hands, took a nice photo together, and he gave me his MSN address and facebook contact.
Yes, Boney M that made "Rasputin" many years ago. (seems like youtube has removed the original music video, but here's a recent live version)

I've met Bill Oddy and he's just as lovely as I thought he'd be (we got his autograph and we told him a joke about Magpies that he liked cos in one of his books he makes a joke about if you can't recognise a magpie take up train spotting).

Also, just last week I met Vicount Monkton of UKIP fame and Labor MP Chris Bryant. The Vicount was what I expected and the first thing Chris Bryant said to me was he didn't like my floor speech (partly 'cos I attacked one of his arguments in it I suspect). Other than that he seemed rather pleasent. (This was after a University debate with visiting speakers, hense the floor speech, and no, I'm not some ponsy rah).
