Lost a couple of games, but i played my Diablo 2 LOD cd till it bursted... literaly. It blew up during a battle with diablo himself! Shredded my cd drive and damaging 2 cables. Thank god it didn't damage my motherboard.
Thats odd, the same thing happened to my friend with the same game O_O

I had a best friend back in middle school, who, when he moved, decided to steal my ps1 copies of Legend of Legaia, Final Fantasy Anthology (that's what I was saddest about, loved FF3) and one of my only two ps1 controllers. To this day, if I ever see that traitorous swine.... Well, no jury in the world would convict me.

The only time I had a game lost is when I let my friend borrow my GB game Chiplifter 2. Being a jackass he was, he let his friend borrow it however he move town so I never got the game back (pretty much why I no longer let him borrow my games).

I've had 3 copies of Super Smash Bros. Melee. I lost two of them. Found them under my tv after a moving day a couple years back.

Had a friend move out of the island with some of my PC games. One time lent a friend a dreamcast game that he went and sold, I kicked his ass and took all of his dreamcast games.

I have lost so many Starcraft CDs it isn't funny. I must have bought that game 10 times by now.

I've lost both Pokemon Yellow and Ruby. They're the two most noticeable Game Boy cartridges I have, and I still can't find them after searching through the chaos that is my desk.

If they're in a box in the garage, then all hope is lost.

I've had several game dematerialize at different times. The first was Pokemon Silver and then it was my auto cad CDs. I got the serial, but I needed those CDs.

Civ III and, weirdly enough, Civ 4. I did buy no.4 again pretty much immediately, still no idea where the original one is, though I keep the box in the hope it one day appears...

I'm still irritated that I can't find my original SNES copy of Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I think my brother traded it to a friend for Jurassic Park (which kinda sucked, especially compared to Zelda).

Nope, luckily. Had a boy steal Animal Crossing in year 6 though.
Why did you have PC, 360 and PS3 version of one game?

Kinda, I've had "friends" steal games before.
This. I've "lost" at least three games to the same guy; needless to say, I don't let him even BREATHE next to my games now.

But I have also seriously lost a game before. Kingdom Hearts. No idea how, but it was in my Dark Cloud 2 case at the time, and I was in the middle of cleaning out my room. NO idea how it happened, but I've been keeping DC2 in my KH case ever since.

Everyone does.

Especially if you've gamed for over 20 years.

I always manage to keep, and know exactly where my shittiest games of all time are. Even in obscure places, in the attic for instance. Like "Monster Truck Madness" for PC, or "Deadly Towers" for NES. I will always know where they are; "At the end of the pile about 3 inches from the bottom in that box stored in the corner with 7 other boxes piled perpendicular and on top of it. The box has a torn flap, and the flaps are not tucked into each other, but the flaps of the box on top of it are. The box also smells like a sock, and I last saw the game 7 years ago. I think the game has a torn label as well." Yup, that's where it is, and it's torn across the title.

But when I need to find the disc for Company of Heroes or something interesting like that.. well, sometimes it's an ordeal.
This is my entire life. Inexplicable detail to some memories, but when something is required expediently it always manages to slip my mind.

OT: Once during a party at my house back in high school I lent my copy of Myst 3: Exile to an attractive female friend (Who I didn't know that well). I promptly forgot about it, and then remembered years later when I wanted to play it again. D'oh.
