Twice. Same resturaunt, too (Kelsey's). First time was French Onion Soup. It's the only soup I am willing to eat. When I get it,there's so much salt in it,I can't taste the cheese. So I sent it back saying they went too heavy on the salt. A few months later,I ordered a steak, medium well. When I got it,the slab of meat was still bleeding. Yeah. This is why I preffer to cook my own food.

Once. I sent back a mini pizza because all the dough in the middle was raw and the cheese was unmelted. Which was a bummer considering the restaurant has really good food otherwise

I send my steaks back semi-often. I order a rare steak and if it's cold I send it back. I'd rather have it undercooked so I can send it back than overcooked. If you are polite the waitress never seems to mind.

There was another time a waitress gave me a ranch and tartar sauce mix for my salad so I sent it back. I got another (correct) salad. People make mistakes and all's well that ends well. Just as long as it doesn't happen often.

I'm always VERY nice about it, after all it's definitely not the waiter's fault and more often then not it's a genuine mistake on someone's part. But I can't stand people who are 'too polite' to send something back. I paid for it, it'd better be right.

There's always a limit though, if it's just generally not very good, think about how much you paid for it. :)

I've never sent back food myself but I was there to see my Dad have an epic meltdown over it.

We were at a truck stop in El Paso and had both ordered the taco plate. When our food arrived we found that rather than ground beef the Tacos had been made with fajita beef (strips in other words.) I didn't care as I was hungry enough to eat my own hoe but my dad lost his mind, called the waiter over and forced him to go to the "make your own taco" bar and make him another taco.

I've never been more embarrassed by my dad. lol
