I have. I went on a rant about stealth elements in Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, never realizing that there was a thread about the same game a little below my thread. It was summarily locked.

So, anyone else out there, how does it make you feel when a thread of yours gets locked? In my case, I just felt horribly embarressed, almost as if I had walked into a room, pointed at some guy, and yelled, "Trevor, you ass!" and then the guy pointed to another guy behind me who was really Trevor.

By the way, what all reasons have threads been locked for, anyways?

I have had a thread or two locked, it's kinda why I prefer to roam other peoples threads rather than make my own.

Yeah. I made a thread that pointed out the obvious/hilarious things that Twilight featured (bestiality, pedophilia, necrophilia, and hemovaglia). It was actually doing really well up until it got locked. I had a lot of fun, but apparently, some people don't have a sense of humor...

Yeah, it was me whining in a semi-humerous way about online kiddies mocking my accent and it ended up being pretty anti-American, to my shame.

In my defence, I did not participate in said sentiment :(

Not on the Escapists, though on another forum I had a thread locked for posting "spoilers" of events in a game despite the fact that these events happen in the OPENING of the game and was even stated on the back of the game box.

I'm always careful with my spoiler warnings now because of that and it was years ago...

I only created one thread and it got around 10 posts. So no, I have not made a thread that got locked.

I've started two threads in the past, but they're so far down in the archive, I figured that they should stay down there now. Besides, they aren't really relevant to any current topics. I have posted in threads that were eventually locked, though.

Irritated. But the reason my thread was locked was because people took the subject matter too far. It was a topic about whether or not racist and sexist jokes could be funny. You can imagine what happened.

I had a thread locked when I asked this question:
"What do you think would be the best way to carry out genocide of the human race?"

Just the other day in fact.

It was a poll about getting it it on with a doll of yourself. Is it gay or masturbation?

Yeah, I have no idea why they locked that one.

I think I've made two threads. One was about my decision to continue on with my senior year of high school or go onto college, because I had been invited to a fairly prestigious school. My second was my rant about some crap FOX was trying to put out mid-season.

Neither have been locked, to the best of my knowledge.

no, I haven't. I've made threads that didn't get a response though :/
My answer is the same as this, I have yet to get a thread locked, and I've made two that's recieved zero repiles. (Felt a bit embarrsed when it happened.)

I made one that was well on its way to one thousand replies, but then it just stopped getting bumped for some reason and the mods totally ignored me when I expressed my concerns about it. Could care less about the badge, I just wanted to keep the conversation going. I was winning the debate, god dammit.
