I worded my previous post wrong, I've given up on finding a capture card with hdmi. I also have to thank you, after my previous post I spent some time on a website I rarely used and found a 20 euro capture device.Lightslei said:I've never seen one with HDMI but if you want I'll keep looking around and update you if I see one?Flour said:It's not easy to find any information on those things. Hell, the cheapest I've found was 70 euros and that did the same as that Diamond VC500.(personally I'm looking for something with hdmi input but I guess those things don't exist or are too expensive)Lightslei said:Mine was 35 USD.
Diamond VC500, never had a problem, recording ANYTHING.

Expensive for Macs moreso considering the cheapest one for a Mac is 100 USD.
Glad to hear it, mind telling me which one? I'm always looking for ones to recommend to others.Flour said:I worded my previous post wrong, I've given up on finding a capture card with hdmi. Konig CMP-USBVG5, but the few reviews for it that I could find are not that great, so your option would probably be a lot better.Lightslei said:Glad to hear it, mind telling me which one? I'm always looking for ones to recommend to others.
Alternatively, if you've got a HDD recorder with a DVD drive, you can plug your console in to that, record it, edit it, then burn it to disc.Lightslei said:For your pc: It's called Fraps.
For your consoles: It's called a video capture card.
Problem solved.
Never heard of that method. Chances of video corruption?smudgey said:Alternatively, if you've got a HDD recorder with a DVD drive, you can plug your console in to that, record it, edit it, then burn it to disc.Lightslei said:For your pc: It's called Fraps.

Only did it once, with my Wii, and that was a while ago. It worked fine then, but haven't tried it lately.Lightslei said:Never heard of that method.
