A couple of days ago while I was playing MAG someone began humming the tune to Iron Man. Pretty soon all the people with mics where doing it. It was hilarious.

Mine was 35 USD.

Diamond VC500, never had a problem, recording ANYTHING.

http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-VC500-Touch-Capture-Device/dp/B000VM60I8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277594421&sr=8-1

Expensive for Macs moreso considering the cheapest one for a Mac is 100 USD.
It's not easy to find any information on those things. Hell, the cheapest I've found was 70 euros and that did the same as that Diamond VC500.(personally I'm looking for something with hdmi input but I guess those things don't exist or are too expensive)
I've never seen one with HDMI but if you want I'll keep looking around and update you if I see one?
I worded my previous post wrong, I've given up on finding a capture card with hdmi. I also have to thank you, after my previous post I spent some time on a website I rarely used and found a 20 euro capture device.

Glad to hear it, mind telling me which one? I'm always looking for ones to recommend to others.

all the time!

this one time playing naruto ultimate ninja 3 (ps2) we were both two of the strongest characters in the game (him: first hokage) (me: second hokage) and we couldn't land a single hit on each other. we had fought so many battles before that we comb'd in the air for 2 minutes just avoiding all attacks by defending at the right time (making you ''teleport'' behind the opponent)

we were laughing so hard and still being able to keep it up. the rest of the battle was also considerably epic and the best fight i have ever had in a fighting game. we still remember it everytime one of us goes, dude remember THAT time with naruto?

I was playing GTA San Andreas on the PC. I was doing one of the first San Fierro missions, an extremely simple one that only a complete idiot could fail. All you do is drive around to various blips so can meet some new characters. Occasionally one of them might get in the car with you. Well, I had a huge run of bad luck.

First, I get towards the end and the game crashes. So I tried again. When I went to pick up one of them, a freakin' train hit him as he was getting in the car. GAH! Alright, no more of this crap. I start up the mission again, and I am met with...my game crashing again. At which point I huddled in the shower and cried for a few hours.

Konig CMP-USBVG5, but the few reviews for it that I could find are not that great, so your option would probably be a lot better.

For your pc: It's called Fraps.
For your consoles: It's called a video capture card.

Problem solved.
Alternatively, if you've got a HDD recorder with a DVD drive, you can plug your console in to that, record it, edit it, then burn it to disc.

Even with those, though, usually you end up wishing you'd recorded something, after it's happened. So actually those aren't really much help, in that respect.

But yeah, I've used Fraps quite often. The only downside is how much space the raw videos take up.

I actually had this situation earlier this week. I was playing Just Cause 2, and thanks to a glitch, the main character was holding his gun so that it looked like is a jammed into his crotch and aiming it the wrong way, even though the camera was aimed in an entirely different direction. The gun still worked but nothing else would work.

Never heard of that method. Chances of video corruption?

yes! some of my fights from Zone of the Enders...I dunno if the game was just programmed to make me, the player, feel awesome...but its veeery satisfying to blast apart 9 flying mecha without a scratch or even grinding a move.

Ive had many a moment like that, But there was one which i did save (halo 3)

My friend and I were playing...I forget the map name, Its one of the DLC maps, Two snow bases in one U shape, One of the original Halo Maps.

Anyway, My (notorious) technique was to get into the Hornet, And piss off my friends, As none of them could down me. Anyway, This one particular time i decided to run over my friend. As i got close to him i accidently jumped out, And he jumped in. As he jumped into my hornet (Laughing like a maniac by that point) i turned around and threw a stickie.

The stickie hit him in the face, Then the cockpit glass slid shut, Trapping him in with the 'nade.

*Boom*

Oh how we both laughed.

Only did it once, with my Wii, and that was a while ago. It worked fine then, but haven't tried it lately.

Yeah, in L4D1 my friends and I were doing a... shit, I don't remember the name of the highest difficulty in that... Easy, Normal, Advanced, Expert! Yeah, that. Anyway, we were on Blood Harvest, at the part after that factory crescendo event, you know, with the emergency door. My and one of my friends were pretty much holding us all together, one guy was still playing the lone wolf and one guy was constantly swearing and complaining every time he took damage.

Anyway, we were all in the red, I was in black and white, and a tank appears, grimacing at us from a nearby overturned train car. We all open fire with everything we have, Molotovs, M16s, and finally even dual pistols, and it goes down nearly mid punch at my feet. All talk ceased, we just... moved. Into the safe room, watching each other's back, and not taking a single hit. It was Zen Zombie Xenocide.

After that, the whole thing came derailed, because swear-guy started swearing, and lone wolf-guy ran off and we never saw him again. But that one part was, forgive me, epic.
