Some of the people in it just didn't get it. You start out with the good intention of getting everyone's feelings on a certain subject but then end up having to defend yourself from something that isnt even part of the subject? Case in point go to http://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingPosts10754553.aspx and read and let me know if you think I was right for what I said.

They reacted as if they just read the first line of your post, then got angry to be honest. You didn't say anything wrong.

I might go along the lines that you set you set yourself up for that one thread.

It's happened to me I make an honest enough thread and get slapped in the face for it.
My "Where are you From" thread had the options of major Countries and thereafter generalized areas instead of continents:
  • [li]United States[/li]
    [li]Canada[/li]
    [li]United Kingdom & British Isles[/li]
    [li]Australia & Oceania[/li]
    [li]Central or Western Europe[/li]
    [li]Russia & Northern Europe[/li]
    [li]Middle East or Africa[/li]
    [li]Asia or Siamese Peninsula[/li]
Everyone complained how Germany or South Africa or Panama or something obscure that at most theres two people on the entire site from were grouped together. (Someone complained about Poland with Russia, is that that big of a problem?)
The Poll could have done better because a few people chose countries they'd like to live in instead of their current residence.
I couldn't add South America due to only 8 Spaces, and even so I was called a Racist multiple times.

I once tried to find a good medieval painting to analyse for a school project. Well, I made a thread about it but I used the word "picture."

Me native language no English. Cut some slack, yo.

Well, there was that Soviet occupation thingy, Katyn massacre etc. and they were Soviet Union's puppet state for 4 decades. Polish might have something against Russia after that.

... yeah that's pretty much every thread I start these days.
That's pretty much anything that is senstive or controversal...people just post mindlessly only looking at the first two posts (if you're lucky).

--> Religion
--> USA
--> War
--> Beliefs/Racism

Threads featuring those topics (yes, even etc.) died from this diease.
-----
I'm gonna avoid these threads because people are so intolerant of other people and their beliefs and they can't read through a couple of pages that may contain valuable information.

Don't forget the gaming ones (most "overated" or PS3 vs 360 or PC gaming dying)

Some countries nearby don't get on: for example- Poland and Russia (so yes it probably was a big problem for the people concerned.)
Perhaps someone should petition the mods to let us have more than 8 slots if possible? People don't like getting lumped in with other people sometimes (such as, whoever lumped Goths and emos together in another thread poll. Poor form, dear chap, poor form.)

can't read the post and i'm not signing up just for that

tho i've had ppl misinterpret what i say all the time, not just online. it's due to the fact that we water our language down so much ppl forget what stuff actually means
