Alright so my mother's house has this backroom that is rarely used, except I'm storing some stuff there temporarily. It has this old wood heater, with a cast iron door. I hear a banging noise and I realise there is a bird stuck in it (having come down the chimney, it somehow can't get out). I open the door and chase the bird out of the house, feeling positive after helping this bird. I told my sister and she remarked if it was the one she heard last week, I made a black joke about that being the bird corpse I saw earlier (I was just making this up at the time).

She runs to the heater, opens it and screams, there are literally a dozen dead birds in all stages of decay, from a fresh one that looks like its sleeping to a perfectly clean skeleton. Others rotting. I just spent ten minute doing the grizzly job of cleaning it out, while my sister had a shower because she felt dirty (having touched none of them).

So my question is has anyone had similar experiences of something quite mundane that turned into something that could (and certainly will in my sisters case) give a person nightmares?

woke up ine morning and there were two sheep on my front lawn. My mum didnt believe me and refused to look out of the window. Boy did she get a shock when she opened the front door.

Its the first & only time i have been afraid of sheep.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I was 6.

Pecked out dead birds with maggots coming out of it.

Oh, yeah, OT, we were watching these birds when two of the birds started to try and tear one apart. Some Year 12's (we were at School, I were in Year 8) chased em off.
