The Reapers from Mass Effect

I know they're evil life-destroying monsters, but you cannot create something THAT awesome and expect a nerd like me not to fall in love with them. Plus giving them voices that could induce orgasms just made me love them more.

The evil girl in the Last Airbender....
Actually, most evil villains who are of the female persuasion....
Oh! And all the ones where the protagonist is a douche.... I root for the villains...

President John Henry Eden: love the voice acting, to the point where I would tune into Enclave Radio or stop by an eyebot just to listen to his speeches.

The Joker: putting Zany in crazy for years. (Please let him play more than a bit part in Arkham City)

Eliphas the Inheritor: Showing how Chaos can be evil, with style (again voice acting plays a big part)

"your civilisation exists because we allow it, and it will end because we demand it....this exchange is over"

as a die-hard Mass Effect fangirl even I can admit that the scenes in Mass effect can be a little narmy, but that conversation with sovergn was bone-chillingly dead serious and scary,

especially first time around I didnt bother getting liara t'soni untill late so I pretty much leant EVERYTHING (the 50 000 year cycle ect) from sovergn and that made it even more unsettling

I've never played mass effect, but they sound like a machine version of Halo's gravemind:

1. Sephiroth. Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. He just wins.
2. HK-47 Kotor. He isn't a badguy but you just gotta love him
3. Captain Quark from Ratchet and Clank. He's in for the complete opposite reason as Sephiroth

Inspired by the recent favourite Shakespeare thread, I'll have to add Richard the III AKA Duke of Glouster to my list of Al Swearengen and Omar Little. They make a nice trio.

Besides the obvious; GLaDOS and my avatar,
I have said Suigintou from Rozen Maiden, every time this topic comes around, but anyone has yet to agree with me. :(
I guess it doesn't matter, she is REALLY awesome, and a very complex and interesting character. Plus, she has a really cool look. :)
Rozen Maiden is also known as the Desu-anime/manga. :p (if you feel like checking it out. ^^)

I'm the opposite. Evil characters are more preferred for me because the protagonists start getting really boring after a while. Least villains tend to shake things up now and again with various gimmicks. Such as:

Batman Villains: I could list specific ones, but, let's face it, there are a lot of excellent choices for good villains. Scarecrow, 2-face, Clayface, Joker, etc.

Zombies: Call em infected. Call em zombies. Call them 4Chan users. Call em what you like, they are the scum of the earth and they are out to simply feed on the flesh and/or brain-matter of the human race. They're not evil, they are just there doing their thing and we have to fight against that.

Magneto: His villainy is questionable as he has often been shown doing good as well. On top of that, his stance isn't truly evil. All he wants is for a better world for Mutant Kind. So what if it doesn't include normal humans? But the fact that his plans incorporate murder of a large population of the human race gets him an "evil" label. Fine with me, he's still pretty cool

Reaver from the Fable series. I don't know if it's Stephen Fry being awesome or how delightfully audacious he is but I just can't bring myself to not like him no matter how many times he tries to kill/betray me.
Ooh this, a thousand times this. I think it is defo the Stephen Fry thing for me though.

I'm gonna go with Genesis from Crisis Core - I don't think he's fully intended to be a bad guy but I go all fangirl over him. I don't know why.

Reaver from Fable 3. He's so sarcastic and never really gets angry- he always seems to have the situation in hand, even if he's losing XD!
