Having been playing Resident Evil and watching the incredible hulk this week and well despite enjoying the movie and games I just didn't see any thing wrong with what they were trying to do. I know why trying to capture a guy who you turned into a monster so you can dissect him is wrong I'm not talking about that. What I am talking about is the whole "The military will use it to make weapons" plot device. I just don't see the whole "evilness" behind it, I mean I understand that the military would use them to make weapons to kill others but well... M16's are around already doing that. The gamma stuff could also help soldiers heal and be stronger so they'd be less need for soldiers with the super soldiers running around so less casualties on that side so why are these games and movies always trying to make out it's a bad thing?. So the Super Soldier, military experiments plot device I'm indifferent about.

This thread is made to ask... what "Evil" plot devices are you indifferent about or even agree with?. Please give an explanation on why. Ho and keep it clean, no flaming or trolling please :D.

Indeed. What's with the avatar?

OT: Sephiroth in FFVII. Really, I didn't see what was so bad about what he was doing. In the long run, he was stopping the humans from killing the planet. Cloud & friends were technically placing the planet in danger by trying to stop him.

I'm indifferent to the "You did exactly what we wanted you to, even though you were trying to stop us" device. Frankly, if they left the choice to me, I would most likely beat up the long-haired pretty boy until he cried...and then party in my small house that I woke up in.

I'm indifferent to the "yeah, we trained you. Now we got to kill you" plot device.

On that note, anyone psyched for Splinter Cell: Conviction?
