Ok, so tomorrow morning i get the results to my Standard grade exams. (similar to GCSE's, or whatever you have in america) During exam time, i think i aced a good couple of them, but i can't see any good grades for physics. The funny thing is, until now, i hadn't felt any nerves about results. So my question to you, escapists, Is how do you deal with your exam results, and does anybody have their own results looming overhead in the near future?

Used the searchbar, and didn't find anything exactly like this, just so you know.

Ohh I just stare 'em down. I just get it over with.
Now when the exams are being prossesed and sent out, I rip my hair out and rock in a corner.

Well generally there's a chance to resit various exams, so I don't fret too much. I got my university grades not long ago and I was pretty nervous about those, but generally it's easiest to look at what you can do with what you have rather than try and predict the future too much. Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst.

I was too tired to be able to be worried. It ended up being fine though, passed everything with decent marks.

It wasn't until college that I actually started worrying about grades. 10 week courses make for brutal finals.

I'm getting my GSCE results very soon. Even though I think I did well (except in Drama, which I stopped caring about a year ago), I'm still scared sh*tless. I'm a natural worrier.

I just got my results through the door half an hour ago;

1 for Craft and Design
2 for Art and Design
2 for english
3 for Biology
3 for Chemistry (WTFFFF ?)
4 for Maths
5 for Modern

Iam going to appeal the modern grade as i managed to pull off a 2 in the Prelim, But iam happy with everything else as i got my Credit grade in Art and English which is what i needed :)
I was surprised with my chemistry grade as i put 0 effort into that class.
I hope everyone else got what they needed.

Run in circles screaming for a little while. Collect exam results. Look at exam results. Continue screaming, only louder.

It's a good method.

Got my advenced higher results online

A for physics
A for history
B for chemistry
B for maths

may appeal chemistry as i got a good A in the prelim, in retrospect that was what propably made me 'forget' to do any studtying for it. And maths ....well integration sucks balls

I have my A level results looming over the next month. Unfortunately a massive FAIL is bound to be slapped onto my forehead, but it's summer and I just can't be bothered to care atm.

Coming from someone who's school grades were pathetic. (Me)

Grades don't mean squat.

Mine were horrible, like really, really bad, and I STILL landed a job as an electronics technician in the Royal Australian Air Force. (After training of course).

Just do your best, pass them if you can, but you don't need to stress yourself to get the BEST marks possible.

Long story short. School is a fucking joke.

I actually got the results of my final examns last month: I had one 5 (for Latin), three 6's (for French, German and Physics, although that last one was very close to a 7), six 7's (Chemistry, 'General Science', Dutch, Math, Literature and 'Classic Cultural Education')and three 8's (History, English and Sociology). But since universities are starving for Computer Science students the only requirement to be allowed there is to simply pass.

I saw mine, went "meh", and submitted them to my college. I got a higher score than a lot of people in my class and I was fine settling for the score I got.

What this lovely Escapist said.

I know I can do well in most subjects, but I failed up in German and I got knocked onto the Foundation exam for Graphiic Products. Otherwise I'm pretty confident.

Make sure you do plenty of past papers, the more recent the better, and you should do fine for both.

I tend to have a 'fire and forget' attitude towards exams. Once its gone I just don't give a shit, even when the results come. Don't think you did well and don't think you did bad, just relax and let what happens happen. That's my motto.
