So, my final, final Highschool exams are nearly a week away and I thought I'd make a thread about it.

A) Have you ever studied extremely hard for a test and barely passed?

B) Have you ever studied for less than an hour for a test and passed with flying colours?

C) Have you ever fainted/been sick in the middle of an exam?

I'll answer those three questions for myself:

A) Yes, it was for my last grade 12 level math class last year and I barely passed. By half a mark constitutes barely in my books.

That was a scary test!

B) Yes but it was in History so maybe it doesn't count.

C) I once had to leave to vomit in the middle of an English exam but I returned to finish it and pass with an eighty.

If you have any other experiences with exams (like getting caught cheating?) please feel to write it down!

Oh, and hello Furburt, feeling the pressure of exams as well?

A: I don't study
B: Yes
C: No

Hah, I don't study at all... I'm horrible and it'll probably screw me over later, but until then...

As for being caught cheating... there was a girl in my French class all last year who I would passively cheat on on every single test; it helped me to pass the class... But during the Final, I think she caught on and she started covering up her answers. I know for a fact she was suspicious of me because when she moved on to a new page, she wouldn't cover up her answers, but when I moved on to that page she was currently on, she would start covering her answers...

Luckily for me, I still knew just enough to pass! Haha!

No, I don't study for my exams. The barely passing thing I've done before though. :p

B) Have you ever studied for less than an hour for a test and passed with flying colours?
Most exams go like this for me.

C) Have you ever fainted/been sick in the middle of an exam?
Last years final I was sick throughout them. I ended up going to the hospital afterwards and ended up staying there for a week. I was then diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. :/

A)Yes, pretty much most of the time, must be doing something wrong...maybe clockwise instead of anticlockwise
B)this counts for assignments. Last minute scribble some bullshit and i get 80+%
C)nah, i never get sick. Thats how awesome my immune system is.

A) Yup. I did about the same as I would have if I didn't study.

B) Some exams. Most I pass with colours, but not flying colours. But definitely colours.

C) Yes... It was terrible. Grade 12 English Diplomas. I love creative writing because I'm good at it, so naturally I couldn't wait for that twice-a-year opportunity to do a piece. But I had a massive cold and couldn't concentrate... It was the worst thing I ever wrote. Just terrible. I mean, I still did alright, but it could have been so much better.

A. Yes, for a Final exam for Physics. I was lucky to pass the class, which for me is an embarassing performance. It was why I avoided a physics or chemistry science course in college.

B. 99% of the time. I rarely ever study for tests.

C. Sometimes been sick, but that probably just meant that I would go home after finishing the test because if I was sick while taking a test, chances are I was sick when I woke up that morning as well, but only went to class that day because I had a test.

A) On occasion. I don't normally study unless I've been slacking off and not paying attention in class.

B) Most of the time.

C) Once during my AP chemistry exam, but that was the only time. I hadn't eaten very much and had a headache. Toward the last hour I started getting nauseous and couldn't concentrate on the last part of the test. We haven't gotten results back yet, but I'm pretty sure I failed it.

A.) Yes, my EMT test. The test is worded with mulitiple choices and 2-3 all are disguised to also be considered a correct answer of which you have to ignore and pick the best answer. It also didn't help at all that I was sleep deprived. I was actually falling asleep while taking the test the first time which is a rarity for me.

B.) For some reason, I normally don't have to study if I've paid attention to the explanation. Maybe a little refresher but not enough that I would consider it to be "serious studying"

C.) I've never faked being sick to get out of a test.

I never studied until University and then I pretty much had too as I had so many overlapping lectures on my course, i was mainly learning from notes.

A) I guess we will find out, I'm studying for my Science exam which is tomorrow, hopefully I get good grades.

B) My Maths exam this year. I hadn't studied and my cheat sheet consisted of two simple equations I had scribbled down a minute before the test. I got a very high B for the test.

C) Nope.

a) Yes. My maths A level modules were a pain in the arse and despite both revising hard and a tutor, I could only manage a D on both the Pure 3 and Stats 2 modules leaving me with a B overall.
However, I used to the minimum required in my GCSEs because I could pass the exams with a B. I got pulled out of a lesson by my electronics teacher once because he'd done a rough marking of our coursework, and I had handed it back in without changing anything. The reason for this was because the marks I had were over the threshold needed for me to get a C if I aced the exam. I still don't know how I got the B. On the other hand, I got A or A* in all my English coursework, but only got a C. Still not quite sure what happened.

b) While I couldn't say passed with flying colours, my total revision for my Geography GCSE was to read through the revision guide once and I got a B. I also did the same for my science GCSE and got an A*

c) Thankfully not. I rarely suffer from exam nerves either as I'm normally fairly confident before the exam whether I think I'll pass or not.

A) I have never studied extremely hard for a test. In fact I aim to study not at all.
B) Yes.
C) Only because I was actually sick but the teacher made me sit the test anyway. I asked to leave the room and she said no. But it wasn't due to nerves or anything.

God, I'm so jealous of these people who don't have to do any revision...

(A) Debatable, the exam I barely passed I did spend all of the 4 days before revising for it. Perhaps "revising" is the wrong word though since I only went to about 5 lectures (there were 45 in that semester to my count), a more accurate one might be "learning" :D.

(B) My school Modern Studies exam. It was a joke. Even the credit paper was mostly about interpreting polls, pie charts and things and knowing stuff that anybody who reads up on current world events consistently (which I've always done) will ace.

I'm glad I didn't do the foundation paper though, that would be humiliating. I took a peek at a paper and one question said "Which of these is a right?": Four of the answers were utterly stupid and the last one said "the right to vote".

(C) Nope, I've always looked after myself and barely ever get ill.

The big test we do at the end of our schooling is a big comprehensive one. Studying not really possible. Apart from keeping up to date with current events, and knowing how to write an essay properly, that is.

It was amazing. I didn't have to study at all!
