Finally finished all of my exams! 2 years of toil and tedium finally come to a close, with exam results day just a little beyond the horizon on August! :D

Ahh...it feels good to finally be free!

Oh wait, this thread is supposed to have a purpose, right?

...

I have it!

So, how many you here have finished your exams?(if still in education) Anyone have any plans for the summer? :D

My own include:
-Watching a fuckton of movies so I can earn cinephile cred

-Reading an equal metric unit books so that I can prepare for Uni and cause I really feel like diving into some classics like Brothers Karamazov and All Quiet On The Western Front

-Reviewing a good amount of games so I can keep foolishly chasing the idea of becoming a games journo with actual qualifications

-Spending some time with friends, as we are all getting dispersed all over the country due to University

-Working. Mostly work to be honest. But just enough so I can get a decent reference and save up enough money to get a decent gaming laptop(circumstances will demand it).

What are yours? :p

My exams finished a month ago. Things I have done since finishing:

[ul]
[li]Drank alcohol.[/li]
[li]Drank more alcohol.[/li]
[li]Like, seriously, so much alcohol.[/li]
[li]Had some barbeques.[/li]
[li]Went to Thorpe Park[/li]
[li]Watched a lot of let's plays.[/li]
[li]And I've just started moving house.[/li]
[/ul]

Other plans for this summer:

[ul]
[li]Help run a few open days[/li]
[li]Escapism UK[/li]
[li]Graduate[/li]
[li]Spend a week in Ireland[/li]
[li]Spend three more weeks traveling round Europe[/li]
[li]Finish the approval process for my PhD[/li]
[/ul]

I'm also considering going through some MIT[footnote]Sadly not my institute of study, they just have some good lecture notes.[/footnote] lecture notes depending on how much free time I have left to help prepare for my PhD.

I had finals for the spring semester in late April. So what did I do after that? Go straight into the summer semester so that I can take electives I want to in the fall. Yeah!

At the very least, I only have about a month left before I get a proper summer break. I'll probably spend that time finishing out the backlog GOG's sale has left me with. That, and research, because school never ends until graduation, which I'm still over a year away from. At least that research pays a little bit.

My exams were done the moment I gave my instructor a mixtape featuring Jay-Z rapping over Beethoven's compositions... Afterwards, I set up a two-year plan for any other classes I want to take while getting a head start on transfer papers for the private college I'm trying to transfer to...

On a more vacationing sense, I've been saving up money for a convention in September, a Wii U in July, a PS4 in 2016(?), and a bunch of other stuff I couldn't get last month... Also, I got some anime series to re-watch including Blue Gender, Hetalia: Axis Powers, and Michiko to Hatchin, I'm going to force make one of my friends sit through Seasons 2-5 of Adventure Time on Blu-Ray, and hang out with my great grandmother since she's currently staying with my grandmother...

Still got Exams here. One super easy one, considering my background. And one super hard one, considering my background.

As for what I'll be doing for my cummer?

Work-term... Likely unpaid.
Fixing my resume.
Attempting to get a big-boy job.
Staving off the government's greedy fingers while attempting to pay the bank first.

That sort of stuff. Second time doing it now!

I've been a graduate for like seven years. I believe the general course of things has been to enjoy myself in as many ways possible.

Exams for me ended in April. I have since been dealing with the crushing reality that student loans ended in April.

Hahaha! Hahaha...

I have additional classes this summer and I've had an exam last Monday. The terrible reality is that exams are never over, unless you're planning on doing pure menial labor!

I don't think you ever stop studying. Some other people are going back to school in their 30's, 40's and 50's to update their knowledge.

Congratulations to everyone who finished their exams! Fewer congratulations to those still working to complete those exams in proportion to the completed/uncompleted amount ratio, with a firm reduction every day late based on the syllabus.

I don't miss instruction.

Personally now that I'm old I just count white hairs and try to get out. I've decided that every time something happens in my home city I have to show up for at least half a day at one point or another. Outdoor festivals, parades and the like - free outdoor stuff basically, I'm not made of money. I missed the Fifa womens cup, but I don't like soccer anyway and tickets were balls expensive.

Even if you no longer do it in school, chances are you're still studying. A good chunk of my time in both of the summer internships I did during my studies was focused around simply learning about things. This has become the case even more with the rise in online services and open courses.

My exams finished just under a month ago, got my results two days ago. I did well enough to continue on my degree course, which I'm happy about. Since then I've been gaming, relaxing, and going on long walks where possible. I spent a week in Scotland fell walking, and some more time doing local walks.
I'm hoping to get a summer job when I return home next week to stave off the madness that comes from having bugger all to do. Having a little extra money would be nice, too. I've got some holidays planned up- a week in the dales, a week in Snowdonia- and maybe a few days interrailing in Germany. It's looking good.
