I was wondering if anyone would be interested in sharing any good bands/musicians they like, but aren't well known.

Mine is Joe Driscoll, he's from my area (upstate NY) and has a really interesting musical niche, he's sort of a rapper I guess. He is a one man band and uses live looping (he loops sounds using a pedal live, nothing prerecorded) to layer sounds over one another.

I know it sounds weird, but here is a video of him performing live (yes he looks weird at the front, but listen to the damn music) he sounds really good.

At 0:45 you can see the pedal he uses to loop the sounds, I don't want to see anyone yelling "HE ISN'T MOVING HIS MOUTH AT SOME PARTS" or crap like that because they didn't read the post.

EDIT: If you don't like it, listen to at least the 2 minute mark, it gets better when he gets into the actual song and stops showing how his style of music making works.

Lights is starting to get somewhat popular, but I'm sure a bunch of you still don't know who she is.

You haven't been stalking my posts enough

Poets of the Fall has some pretty good stuff. Peter Gabriel seems to be pretty unknown over here in America, so I would recommend him too.

I've always been a fan of Crush 40. They themselves aren't very well known, but they are the ones who usually do the music for the Sonic games. As far as I know, they did almost the entirety of Sonic Adventure and Adventure 2.

You don't want to hear what I like to call R.A.P. Because it applies here as well.
Although he is a one-man band. Still, I don't think I'll be in the audience. Not my type.

OT: I can think of many artists. But just this one I think deserves some acknowledgment. Also a one-man band. He does all the work.

Man, you've got to love our Swedish rock artists...

Ima robot. (That is the correct spelling)

You either love them or hate them, the singer's voice is really unique but he is kind of impossible to like.

EDIT: yeah the video doesn't work. Go look them up.

I have a lot more bands, but its more, people know them, but they are known for being hated. But no one I have ever met knows these guys so yeah.

EDIT 2: How could I forget!? my favorite band! Reel big fish! They are ska, but they are AWESOME!

They're not particularly well known I don't think, but I love these guys:

One of my personal favourites!

You night know this one from Saints Row 2

Other than that, Greg Laswell is pretty unknown, Ingrid Michalson too.

I just heard of this band yesterday and have already bought all their albums. They are amazing and have done some great stuff.

Also, Shining is pretty good, and they are pretty unknown.

Summer Dying was a great band too, but have broken up after they released two albums. Here is a video of them live (not the best sound quality though).
