Like the list but, for me personally, the two Ganon fights would be switched. I've never been as big a fan of OoT as others have. Then again I'd have also put the Majora fight if only for how awesome the Fierce Diety mask is. Anyway Enjoyed the vid, can't wait for the next countdown.

Ah, taking a trip down nostalgia lane. For the most part anyway. Never played four swords, that tingle game or Skyward Sword, and I never finished Majora's mask (THE UNDERWATER SECTION SCARED ME ALL RIGHT!?) but damn that was a nice trip down memory lane.

I used to think that games like zelda got great boss fights, until I played shadow of the colossus.

Dont play zelda so cant comment on the material but the presentation while far from perfect is much better than that "trailer" that was shown as your first video. If the trend cotinues i may still be watching this after all. Still 4 episdes remaining for decision, skipping this one due to lack of knowledge for material represented.

And I agree 100% with #1. Not even the four parter from Twilight Princess can match how epic that final battle from OoT was.

Can't say I disagree with the list, other than Goht and Stallord should have been higher ranked, being my 2 favorites bosses.

Gohma is about as much a Zelda tradition as boomerangs and bombs, and even though she's had more than one memorable appearance, none of them top your encounter with her in Ocarina of Time"

Um, I'm pretty sure her appearance in Windwaker tops that by a longshot, or perhaps I should say hookshot. Actually no I shouldn't, the hookshot's the other one. Whatever, still way cooler when fighting inside a volcano underneath a dragon.

Four Swords Adventure has something of a high entry fee, what with all the peripheral and crap that's required to play.

You don't need any extra peripherals, you can play with just a regular gamecube controller. All the peripheral stuff is purely optional.


Also, Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland is NOT!!!! a Zelda game. It should not be on this list.

The final battle in Windwaker is the first time you truly fight Ganondorf in the game. Also this should be much higher on the list IMO.

Only disagreement: I would have tried to work in the dragon from Sky Temple in TP (name escapes me right now), and also Majora. Gotta agree that Majora's Mask is probably my favorite Zelda. Also, while the Ocarina version of Gohma is iconic and the entry into the boss room where it doesn't emerge until you see it is about perfect, I have a soft spot for the Temple of Time's version in TP, mostly the ending of that fight (hilarity ensues).

Agreed with most, even though it feels like you were trying to get in representatives from each major game regardless. Of course big bad Ganondorf usually receives enough effort put into his battles that he's always been a difficult and memorable affair. Even the one I'd consider his weakest in the linked Oracle games had some nice moves (control reversing, impaling you on his pitchfork and throwing you, spamming about 15 energy balls at once) and good music to go with it.

Ones I felt deserve honourable mention:
Helmaroc (Wind Waker)
Majora's Mask/Incarnation/Wrath
Byrne (Spirit Tracks)

Great list...I would put the bosses in a different order but seeing them on the list is good enough for me!

They were the most fun bosses I have fought in Zelda games (and maybe any game I have played) and it was good to see them on the list!

No mention of the spoiler-related "surprise boss" near the end of Twilight Princess? While not particularly difficult (or all that long), that fight was downright harrowing, especially as a fan of the series. It felt so very wrong, exactly as it was supposed to as part of the story.

Also, is there something going on between Screwattack and The Escapist that I missed? did they break away from Gametrailers when Skistimas left last week? Not that I'm complaining, just confused.

I really feel like Zant from Twilight Princess deserved some mention here. The music and how insane the fight felt was one of the most exhilarating boss fights I can remember.

Agreed. Who cares if it wasn't that hard (none of the Zelda bosses are really all that challenging IMO), the fight was incredibly epic in every sense of the word.

I'd say the Gohma's entrance in OoT is what makes it so memorable, but the actual fighting was hella more fun in WW. I just squished a giant, evil bug by dropping a dragon on it!! How awesome is that?!

I liked this list a lot. Very fun and enjoyable. That being said, if its funny crazy memorable bosses we're looking for, where is Tentagle Medusa Oprah Monster from Skyward Sword? She was the most entertaining boss of that game (though Koloktos was awesome too).
