Im honestly surprised this hasnt been brought up yet.

I could list out the reasons the expendables would make a good game, but if you've seen the movie you would already know. If you haven't, I dont even know why youre reading this thread (probably to ***** about Scott Pilgrim's failure.)

Anyway, what would you like to see?

I concur.

The rush to get a movie tie-in game out in time while still trying to meet today's video game standards is just asking for disaster.

(Poorly disquised bump because I actually want to see someone NOT against it)

Yeah, but it would have to come out a good 3-4 years later.
Also, only two developers should even THINK about doing it.
a)DICE
b)Criterion Games

If the greed and sheer disregard for quality of those that develop movie tie-in games has shown us anything it is that the vast majority of said games served only to strip consumers of their cash and waste materials and energy manufacturing the damn things.

I'm not against it, provided it was made as a proper game and not just as another lame movie tie-in. And was made with a decent, proper schedule, rather than to meet a film deadline.

Reason? I saw it last week and loved the film. And through it all, I was constantly thinking "this looks like the sort of thing Crytek would make a good game out of". It just reminded me so much of the style of stuff like Crysis and Far Cry, and I just felt that any film that can make me think would be an awesome game, while I'm still watching the film, will probably turn out to be a good game. Provided, as I say, it isn't rushed and is treated like any other game project, not a film tie-in.
