Hi everyone! Another thread by me, asking for help here, but this time it doesn't require any specialist skills like artistry does! No, right now I just want to hear all the 'experiences' you want to do. Things you dream of achieving, but never have done.
A little context first. As some of you may be aware, I'm something of a writer. And right now, I'm halfway through a screenplay for a short film that's essentially semi-autobiographical in nature, that I plan to enter into several film festivals and help me build up a name for myself as both a writer and a director. The basic idea revolves around a young man and a young woman, both unnamed, who are feeling stifled and live boring lives conforming to the demands of society, until they meet one evening in a bar and embark upon a journey of love and self-discovery.
At one point in the film, the scene becomes much more dream-like, and they race around the nighttime streets of the city describing everything they want to do with their lives. I have a pretty decent list of things already, things I myself would love to do, but I'm stuck for more. Which is where I turn to the Escapist community.
Basically, I just want to hear your ideas. What kind of experiences do you want to achieve? What I mean here is things that take you out of your comfort zone and enable you to see the world in a new light. So I don't mean 'beating FF13 100%' or something, but rather things like 'Dancing with a lover under the Aurora Borealis' or 'Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro' and so on. That sort of thing. And don't just make stuff up. I'm looking for realism, as the film is ultimately a message to people to go out and enjoy their lives, rather than waste them. I want to hear genuine ideas that people really want to do, not just something you've made up that you think sounds good.
Anyone who submits an idea that is used in the film, by the way, will be added to the credits (however, I'll only add real names, rather than people's usernames, to maintain a level of professionalism in entering it to festivals). Whether that's a decent incentive for you to submit something, or if you just want to have a go anyway, I look forward to hearing your suggestions!
[small]Captcha: perfect world. Yes, that's exactly what my film wishes to realise. If only...
