Explain something to me.

So a game I bought a while back, Brutal Legend, made me mildly disappointed. Why? not because of the(well to others very meh) game play that I loved. or Jack black (he's not too funny but if you hate him you can always kill him or drive him off one of various cliffs). But because many people don't play or for that matter seem to care about it.

So I am wondering do any of you guys enjoy this game or play it casually? anyone hate it or just did not know of it's existence because of the little project know as modern warfare 2 clouding the gaming world at the time? Or maybe you knew of it but didn't buy or care of it since it wasn't on the PC? Or is it just I don't realize how many do play it and I'm just fooling myself? What's the situation of that game,is it a great game that no one cared about or just a piece of crap I seem to love?

I rented it the week it came out. The single player was okay, but I hate Jack Black, there wasn't much to do in it, and the RTS sections seemed half-assed. The atmosphere and the music was great, and I really liked some of the character designs, but I think it tried to do too much and ended up failing. If it would've been more of a platform game, such as Psychonauts it would've been more enjoyable. Wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either, it hit the middle of the road hard and kept on going.

I did like it. The unit cap seems waaaaaaaaay too small for my liking but it was pretty okay game.

I played the demo and quite enjoyed it but I never bought the game.
