I'm not usually one to make these annoying topics with a twist but being that I'm very bored at the moment, I might as well.

Rules are simple, Poster 1 names a game they didn't particularly like but which a lot of people do seem to like, the next poster has to explain why he liked that game, and as a finish names the next game, and so on and so on. (try not to post if you dislike the game the previous poster named as well)

Being the OP I have to start:

Oblivion

I really liked Oblivion because of the complete freedom it offered. I spent hours just screwing around, killing anything in a dungeon. I realize it wasn't "immersive" and the people were all idiots, but the game-play was fun. I especially loved stealthing around houses, stealing anything remotely valuable. What I don't get is people's love for Halo.

When Oblivion came out, it was a game where you could do absolutely anything you wanted. Want to help people? Go ahead. Want to be slightly evil and assassinate someone? Be my guest. Want to be a royal terror and massacre villages and cities? Go ahead and try.

Now, with mods, that idea is expanded even more. Not only can you do whatever you want in the game, you can make the game itself be whatever you want (to limits, of course).

Next:

Team Fortress 2

Halo 1 revolutionized console FPSs and provided the foundations for nearly all it successors.

I don't understand why people like hack-'n-slash games.

Gonna quick response here to avoid the thread getting messed up due to 2 entries on oblivion, TF2 is good because it provides a fun atmosphere while maintaining balance between 9 classes which not a lot of games seem to be able to do (I'm looking at you WOW).
EDIT: According to the previous entry next are "Hack-and-slash games" in general.

I like hack-n-slash games because they are simple and a really good way to fume if you're angry...

Next is gonna be World of Warcraft

But... I didn't like it D:
I suppose it's good for a while, it has some nice varieties in themes and it's VERY purty in some places :3

Next is Sauerbraten (tee hee)
