Before I hit rank 50 on Mewto I learned about a glitch online where you use the javelin missile to basically prepare yourself as a walking mini-nuke. I of course, learned of of this glitch on Youtube through a players instructions on how to do it; and with all glitchs which affect EVERYONE else in game; they warned that Xbox Users WILL get banned for exploiting this glitch and yet someone stated for PS3 users that it was just "Using the mechanics of the game creatively".

What I want to know, is there any glitches any of you exploited in past games, that dont involve exploration outside of the map (these are way to common). Many of you probably already know about this glitch or maybe alot of you dont, I just want feedback.

I exploited the Javelin Glitch.

I've stopped now, because I got my Danger Close pro.

But boy, was it fun.

Honestly, I've checked it out as well; I learned that one player supposedly racked up 400 kills by continually exploiting it.

Java-nubs ;-;

I noticed people doing this the other night, just sprinting straight at you, and then the minute you kill them they fire a Jav into the floor killing you and anyone near by. It's fucking pathetic and anyone who uses it [for any reason, even trying to level Danger Close] sucks big floppy donkey dick and are obviously unable to get kills with explosives normally.

[I knew the noob-tubers weren't happy with the changes to the mounted grenade launcher, but to actually perform such a trick to get easy explosive kills? Tut-fucking-tut]

First off, you cant fire the Javelin missile without first locking on-to a target; and secondly the target cant be any where near you.

Dont be like the people who run around calling everyone a troll (in reference), I didnt say I've exploited this glitch to attempt to level Danger Close, or even attempt to actually win the match, but to see it in use via personally.

You can be angry as much as needs be. I just wanted to point this out to those who didnt know about it, who thought about using it and those who would be banned by using it.

Stitches, look at your thread chap, the guy below your first post said he used it to level Danger Close, which was what I was getting at ;)

I've only used the Javalin myself a couple of times to take out AC130's and the like, and I'm not a fan, I prefer the Stinger. So sorry for not knowing the exact way the weapon works ;)

I wondered what that was, I was playing last night on Terminal, and this guy kept walking around with a javelin. The first few times, I knifed him and shot him close up and died, which seemed pretty odd (though I didn't watch killcam for the evidence), but then I killed him from range and he blew up. I thought it was some kind of technique but I headshotted him from range so there was no time to react.

I have to say knowing the specifics that it is cheating, at least with martrydom people have a fair chance of survival, this thing was taking at least me and usually a couple more of my team with it every time. He didn't even make any attempt to fight other than sneaking up to where he thought a group of us may be. Pretty poor show, I hope he gets banned.

In answering you question, no, I haven't used any glitches, I haven't even looked at the ones on youtube, I'm worried I might attempt to use them if they were useful..

There was a glitch with the Javelin?
I didn't like it anyway, I never hit anything with it and the Stingers are better for taking down aircraft.
I've not knowingly exploited any glitches, unless in private games.

Never even heard of this, yet alone seen it but it does seem a teeny bit unecessary. Wont use it though, ill stick to the TAR21 for my maiming needs.

Though I did get nuked for the first time last night, barrel of laughs

I've never used the Jav glitch, I don't even have it unlocked, but for some reason it really doesn't bother me. More often than not it's just funny as hell, like I once saw two people both armed with javelins charge eachother, and both explode, accomplishing absolutely nothing by it. Good times!

i don't use glitces. i've tried, but i end up not doing it right and get myself killed and look like an idiot. I find it's just easier to kill things with a gun than with a glitch.

exploitation of mechanics created some of the deepest gameplay yet. Quakeworlds entire gameplay is now based off an unintentional movement glitch that caused movement to be much more dynamic. Stacking air units in Starcraft made some very deep and mindful tactics that would never be possible without them. Dolphin diving, prone-spam, squad switching, and C4 chucking made for some very exciting matches in BF2 and made the game overall better than after it was patched out. Strafe jumping in Quake 3 made movement much better and game flow alot better. People exploiting glitches is a fundamental example of pushing a game to its limit. And as long as dynamic combat comes from it, a solid counter is found, either through skill or style, then it is acceptable.

PUSH THE GAME BEYOND THE INTENDED LIMITS

The best games of all time were "made" or fleshed out because of this

Starcraft, quakeworld, quake 3, and Street fighter are built on glitches and stay strong to this day.
