So i just read on a german news/TV site that a oneway ticket from japan to germany cost atleast 7000 euro (9767,80 dollar) because of the ,,current market situation''. The company in question is the german airline Lufthansa.
My opinion is that that is downright evil, but i want to hear your opinions.

well, it's probably to keep people from going there. The airports are a mess, they don't want to fly many flights there, and anyone with important business will get their own flights there are a highly discounted rate.

seriously, why would anyone want to go to japan right now anyway? If you want to help out in that way, talk to the red cross or something, if they need people, they'll find a way to bring volunteers there, and I'm sure they won't be paying those rates.

edit: oh, FROM japan?

Well duh, airports. are. trashed. supply and demand. Far less flights = each spot on those planes is worth more and more.
