So I finally got around to finishing Borderlands, and when confronting the Destroyer I found a geometry exploit that meant I could stand safely behind a tentacle, shielded from all attacks, and chip away without coming to any harm at all. It's not the first exploit I've found in games, and no doubt not the last. But is it cheating? I think it would've detracted from the game if I wasn't just interested in getting it finished, otherwise, didn't bother me.....

I have a feeling many will have the same opinion as me.

When in single player, if it's not detracting from your experience of the game, then it's fine because if your having fun who cares. In multiplyer however, getting an unfair advantage only seeks to the game less fun for everyone else and therefore you should be booed into an assisted sucicide.

Also hello and even though you have some posts already welcome to the escapist :)

I found on the final boss in borderlands that if he kills you, you respawn and he has full health BUT if you jump off the cliff you respawn and his health does not regerate to full...

not sure if it was patched but it was how I beat him the first time through.

Its clever luck. Its not bad in single player or cooperative games, but in multiplayer games people who do that suck. and they should be banned

If it's the developpers fault, it's not cheating.

RAM's strategy for battle: If it's not in the rules and no one will notice, it's not cheating.

I feel it cheapens the whole game experience. Why play the game that someone put the time and effort to craft if you're not going to play it how it was made to be played?

In multiplayer it is wrong though since it gives you an unfair advantage and the goal of multiplayer is to engage in a contest on what is generally an equal playing field.
