Explorers Discover Uncharted 3 Trophy List

Throw me the idol and I'll throw you the trophy list.

As seems to be the way with most high-profile games these days, the full trophy list for the PS3 exclusive Uncharted 3 [http://www.amazon.com/Uncharted-3-Drakes-Deception-Playstation/dp/B004EQCCI4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1317128334&sr=8-2] has made its way online. Not unlike the recent news about the Skyrim skill perks, this information was uncovered at the recent Eurogamer Expo.

The list is largely free from spoilers as most of the trophies are for shooting a lot of people with a lot of different weapons or finding a lot of treasure. There are a few locations mentioned in the latter half of the list, but as spoilers go, they're very minor.

I must admit that I'm always a little surprised at how many trophies there are for killing people in the Uncharted games. Uncharted 3 obviously isn't going to be without its combat elements, but it always feels like the exploration and story elements should be a much bigger focus. Still, it's not like the game is going to suffer because its trophies arguably emphasize the wrong thing.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception comes out for PS3 on November 1st.

To me, Trophies and Achievements are there to try and get me to do something, experience something, learn something, I wouldn't normally do in the game. Of course there should still be the reward ones like for beating the game, but over half should focus on non-game-specific stuff like the combat in the Uncharted games. In my opinion anyways...

yeah this

i've seen multiple threads on here where people ***** their dick off about "getting achievements for following the story line/main plot", to which here is their answer, a trophy list involved technique and drive to get the damn trophy(ies), not just playing the single player and getting trophies for no reason.

A little unimaginative, don't you think? I mean, this probably makes people want to have another playthrough or so, or was just logical because of the game's focus on combat, but most of these were in Uncharted 2. It would have been fun to see some new ones.

The only two that really confuse me are Riot Rocker and He's Gonna Need a Sturgeon - are fish weapons now?

I hate having to find so many "treasures" to get a trophy. It's why I gave up on "tomb raider underworld HD."

I didn't take a close look at because I didn't want to spoil anything.

But even Uncharted 2 trophy was kill-focused. Stealth kill, killing 3 people with grenade, 50 kills with X weapons, etc. Yeah its unimaginative, but you can use the ingame currency to buy cheats, tweaks and new skin, which kinda helps each playthrough stay fresh.

It also didn't stop me from enjoying the adventure from Nepal to Tibet.

I'm not bothered that the list is the same as the previous games but with a few new ones. I can't wait to play this game. And looking at some of the new trophies, Marco Solo reminds me of Uncharted 2's Marco and Polo in-game achievements.

Drake: Marco!
Chloe: *sighs* Polo.

And I can't wait to see how Drake attacks with fish and stand on a crocidile (dead or alive).
