Dunno if this has made it up yet (haven't seen it) so i'll just post.
A video has been released showing the frankly huge level of customization available for your avatar in the multiplayer of the upcoming Space Marine.
The options shown include selecting from already well known chapters like the Ultramarines (who are the chapter used in the campaign) or the ability to design your own chapter in a similar way to the army painter from the Dawn of War games. You are able to select from preset builds or modify each part of your avatar with various armour types, colour schemes and badges, allowing you to create your own personal character.
The loadouts are also shown towards the end of the video, you start by selecting one of three bases; the close combat orientated Assault Marine, the ranged Devastator and the flexible Tactical Marine. Each is designed with unique loadout options and abilities suited to their style of combat.
Those who are fans of the Warhammer 40k game will no doubt notice that the options for armour, colours and abilities are lifted from the game's lore and from Games workshop products. Personally i think this kind of thing is brilliant as it shows that Relic are acknowledging fans of the IP while not excluding newcomers.
