Extra Credits: Aftermath

So, it's been a while since the whole Extra Credits affair, and now they've got themselves set up over at PATV. Looking back at the last several weeks, I find that I now visit The Escapist roughly one-third as much as I used to. I don't watch videos the day they come out anymore (with the exception of Zero Punctuation), and when I do watch a video I am much less likely to post a comment or join in a forum debate. In short, the departure of Extra Credits from this site has signifigantly decreased my Escapist activity.

What's it been like for the rest of you? Any different? Do you visit more or less, post more or less, or has it not effected you in the slightest?

By the way, it is not my intent nor the purpose of this thread to relight the fires over the Extra Credits affair. I simply wish to gauge what impact (if any) the whole thing had on The Escapist community.

Actually I think I visit more now than I did while they were still here. Although that's just because Unskippable is more entertaining.

It's sort of the opposite for me. I was an avid watcher of Extra Credits, and a fan; but since they left, I haven't even bothered to check out their Youtube videos, let alone their PATV ones. I probably will at some point.

I'm a lazy guy, and The Escapist provides me with one place to find gaming and game-related news, reviews, previews, videos, comics, articles and forums. I have happily immersed myself in many aspects of this site, and even if I considered Extra Credits episodes to be the best it had to offer (I do not), their departure would still not be enough to deprive The Escapist of its charm.

Eh, I don't think I visit the Escapist any more or less, but I'm checking out EC on PATV now, so I guess all it's meant is extra traffic for Penny Arcade.

Penny Arcade Television. It's one of those sites that do the whole idea of internet television with the help of the blip player.

Same here. The main reason for me is the fact that, for some reason, the PATV videos won't play on my current broswer of choice for standard browsing. So, since I don't like having to go through all the trouble of tracking them down, I'll wait for a bit then watch all the videos at once.

I liked EC, but it wasn't the only reason I came here. Plus, to be honest, I've lost a bit of respect for James for various reasons that have nothing to do with the thread. That's made me less likely to worry about checking out their videos every week.

I mainly come here for ZP, Critical Miss and Name Game. Sometimes the froum when I'm particularly bored.

I used to watch ENN (which is now on PATV also, under another name) and Unskippable but I started finding the Unskippables a bit tedious. Are the LRR guys even still doing Unskippable? I haven't watched them for about a year.
I didn't check out EC on YouTube, but I have been following them on Penny Arcade, since I go there every day anyway (I just open every bookmark in my webcomics tab once a day).
