Extra Life is a fundraiser with all proceeds go to the Texas Children?s Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, to fund pediatric cancer research and treatment. Money is raised through sponsorship of participants doing a 24-hour gaming marathon on October 18th. You pay per hour so $1/hour = $24, $2/hour = $48, etc. If you want to donate go to:
http://waystogive.texaschildrens.org/NetCommunity/Page.aspx?pid=210&srcid=211&frsid=458
And click Donate Now. I get no money from this. All I get is t-shirt if I raise $192 dollars ($42 above my goal)
Thanks in advance.

one, i dont buy games, i cant afford them, but thanks for assuming im a jerk for not donating
B, we know about the charity. thanks for the post, but boosting the topic probably isnt going to help anything, and mods dislike bumps
three, there is absolutely no relationship between the number of posts in this topic and the amount of money escapists donate. for all you know we all have already donated to this cause ourselves and decided to remain anon.
D, don't take this personally, but cancer gets a lot of press because it's easy to raise money for. what about things like cystic Fibrosis or Cerebal Palsy?

I won't donate because I don't have 24 dollars and also can't legally pay a charity unless I anonymously ship them a wad of cash.

I think I'm too young to donate to charities. But when I do donate (sometimes they will have little boxes by their buildings) it's to something environmental like INCF...or a zoo.

I just dropped a dime on the ground, sorry, but I consider that charity. Someone's bound to pick it up sooner or later. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some Ayn Rand novels to be studying.

My family is struggling as it is. While I can apreciate that charities obviously need money, I simply don't have the money to give, and I do not kid at all.

And I don't spend money on games; I haven't for quite some time now, due to the economic slump.

Sincerest apolgies, but it's out of my hands.
