I had built a nice castle with a lava moat and 2 creepers came out of nowhere and blew a nice hole in my wall and made my lava pour out from my moat. So Escapists what have the creepers done to make you angry?

I'm currently working on a giant pyramid, and at the moment I'm filling in the ocean in the way. I divided it up into quarters first and had half of it done. I was getting all the sand back to fill in the other halfs when a creeper spawns out of nowhere and falls into my workzone, blowing the divider apart and filling up an hour or two's work with water again. I have no idea where he came from, I use WAY more torches than I need to to cover the construction site with light. I hate creepers

I have killed approximately 1500 creepers during my adventures in minecraft. Got to love mob towers.

This sums up what I think about creepers.

I built a cross and the creepers were obviously offended by it so they blew it up.

Not much, really, except for them spawning due to reasons unknown to me in well-lit areas and blowing up all my shit.

Mob towers are pretty damn useful.

I usually end up suffering more from creeper knockback than the explosion itself. The slight problem with having a moat of lava round my castle. Oh, then there was the time one of them followed a friend into my castle and blew up my nice red and yellow checked floor.
Then the black and white one I replaced it with was destroyed in an unfortunate lava accident. (the floor above was 2 layers of glass with a layer of lava between. The aforementioned friend broke the glass for shiggles. It seems lava destroys wool)

I personally play a game to see if I can gauge the distance perfectly such that it blows up but I don't take any damage. That way it clears out a bunch of debris and I don't have to. Sure I don't LIKE them but I also don't HATE them.

I had a pretty nice house going and was finishing up one of the walls when I heard that sizzling noise. Killed me, knocked down the fresh wall i just made, and blew up my storage crate with all of my stuff in it. It was quite the mess to say the least.

I lured a hoard of creepers near my house and lat them all explode. went down about 17 layers so I used to hole as an add-on to my basement. they can sometimes be useful. shame that my friend was mining and a creeper came and blew up half of a diamond deposit.

I built a giant creeper as the finale to my dungeon.

it was hollow. And unlit. A creeper spawned, saw me (somehow, I must have left a block out) and blew up the statue. The irony was not lost on me.

Then I rebuilt it and rigged it to, yes, explode when you win. In the finest tradition of all bosses.

I play on peaceful because the thought of losing all my shit for the tenth time on my way out of a mine just drives up my blood pressure. I make do without gunpowder.

I hate lava more. Creepers have only ever screwed me over when I've foolishly forgotten to bring equip a bow with some arrows. Lava screws me all the time. And it destroys all my precious diamond pickaxes and buckets.

I was trying to build a giant monster trap, for unlimited monster drops right? so anyway, I was waaaaay on the other side from the exit, and there was only one exit, when I run out of materials. start heading for the exit to get back to my base when I see a creeper hovering around the only exit, a one by two tunnel....

I decided to try to lure him away so I can sneak around, and this could be risky because right next to the exit is a drop pit to catch and kill monsters...

I sneak foreward but the creeper sees me prematurely, I try to run but I have to be careful there are many holes in the floor. the creeper does not have to be so careful he reaches me and blows me right into my pit. without sufficient tools to dig my way out. without a way to suicide my way out. it took a long time to get back out...

Creepers are atheist? Shoulda' guessed it.

OT: Oh creepers. I love how, after running through a natural underground cave for miles and collecting piles of everything nice for 8 hours straight, one can spawn on top of some iron blocks to drop down on you. This always happens roughly at bed-rock level, 28 minutes walk from spawn.

Creepers always come up on me from behind when I'm mining, but luckily I've got quick ways into my mines right by spawn, and I know my way around my mines, so I can usually get my items back fairly quickly.

So pretty much, Creepers aren't anything more than an annoyance and stress causer for me.
