While I never get real life translations of those feelings, if I ever play a game any extended period of time before I go to bed, my brain won't be able to formulate original thought without imagining the game I was just playing.
This has resulted in some unusual splicing of thoughts, such as thinking of going to the dentist (which I had an appointment for the next day) and seamlessly transitioning to being in a battle in the Warhammer 40k universe (after playing Dawn of War). I was literally unable to distinguish the 2 thoughts, and the mental imagery reflected that.
Sadly I can never remember specifics, as there would be no end of oddities to tell from such things.
