Fable 1, yay or nay.

There is an XBLA offer this week, Fable 1 is only 800 points.

Is it worth getting, yes or no?

I know nothing about Fable, but the last offer was GTA:san andreas, and i didn't get it... which to be honest i kinda regret as it was a good game, am i making a mistake ignoring this offer?

I recently played through it again. I'd go for it if you've never played it and don't want to go searching in a bargain bin.

It's the greatest in the series, and it's one of my old favorites.

800 MSP is $10 USD. I personally really enjoyed fable and think its worth that much for sure.

No. Get a used copy for $1. It's cheaper. It's a good game, but really, there's a copy at any games store that stocks used xbox games. But, if you can't go there, yeah, buy it.

Its a bit rough around the edges, and being used to health regereation can bite you in places best left unbitten. but its still fun and has a decent enough story so if you got the points to burn, why not?

Fable rocked my socks off. I had the good fortune of knowing absolutely nothing about it when I first started playing, so all I could think was "this is the best RPG ever, it's so awesome, I love it so much".

Its still more fun than Fable 2 or 3. The story is pretty good and while the combat is more complex I think its a lot better.

Yeah, get it. But then stop there. The first is a good game. The second was the biggest disappointment I've ever experienced in gaming. It was terrible.

It's not unfortunately, and if the OP could get that instead then I would recommend doing so.

Standard Fable is still worth far more than the £10 it's on sale for though, so yeah, definitely pick it up if you don't plan on finding The Lost Chapters somewhere.

Coincidentally i was planning to post a thread about wich Fable should i get (since i have never played any fable games and recently got interested).
So i guess i should get Fable 1? Yes?

Edit: I should mention i don't own an XBOX, so is it all good to get TLC for PC?

Fucking YAY. It's the best. Top notch, the bees knees, tops, mega, banging, spectacular........... you get the picture it's a very good game. Also did I mention it's Super mega awesome.

You can get Fable:TLC on PC for about the same price. Do that, any old laptop nowadays should be able to run it.
(does the lost chapters exist on xbla?)

Yay indeed! Fable is one of the best RPGs i've ever played. the action is fun, the world is charming and the story takes you on lots of great and varied quests. Definitely the best of the series and certainly worth the 10$.

Personally i'd give it a non-emphatic yeh. It's not a bad game but it wasn't particularly stunning and there were issues with it. If nothing else it's a good timesink.
