does this still apply now that the DLC gave us potions that can make our characters skinny?

I mean that's the only reason i ate celery, was for the thin bonus (my characters all girl and only one is fat, but she's a barbarian) but once those potions came into it, you can bet plenty of skinny behinds that i was going after them.

So what's PETA's stand on Fable 2 now they've irradicated the only use for eating celery in the game?

Also eating the meat based, fattening products give you more EXP, thus more rewarding, so how is it the veggie diet came across as more significant in the first place?

I'm just really glad Postal 2 and Apocalypse Weekend flew under their radar. I'm sure Running With Scissors' offices would've been burned to the ground and they would've been dragged into the street, raped, skinned alive, shot, burned, and then pissed on. And then raped again. PETA likes rape.

Ugh, this game was endorsed by PETA, I can't play it anymore!
My main beef with PETA (no pun intended) is they try and force vegetarianism on us "meat-eaters." If they don't want to eat meat because of some insanely misplaced morals than that's their own problem/curse/worst decision ever. PETA is notorious for forcing their view on others (even more so than Christians). I'm going to never stop eating meat. My ancestors didn't go through millions of years of evolution for me to be herbivore. I'm at the top of the food chain! Something's got to die for my dinner! I support the REAL PETA! PEOPLE EATING TASTY ANIMALS!

Hmmm, this is like getting an award from Hitler. Whilst it doesn't mean there is a connection between them, I imagine the Lionhead people are trying to get as far away from these insane fundamentalists as they can.
Interestingly enough, Hitler would probably have been Grade-A PETA material. Think about it: the guy murdered millions of human beings, yet he was a strict Vegitarian, and Goldie (his German Shepard) was probably one thing he genuinely loved.
Well, Goldie and probably his underage niece who he might have been bonking [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geli_Raubal]!

But I'm sure PETA will overlook a period of favouring a human over an animal, considering Hitlers work on reducing the human population and his love of Goldie and other dogs.

hey. that celery has feelings you know, imagine how he feels about being grown for the one purpose of being eaten. think about his little celery family before you dig him up out of the ground.
also, tofu is not a very good meat sub, not only does it taste like shit, but it has little protein and iron, the two nutrients that are the reason for eating meat, apart from the fact that it tastes awesome. like a nice juicy steak. with black pepper corn sauce. and a side of pork ribs. and lamb roast. mmmmmmmmm...

i guess the point is that the choice of not eating meat is really un healthy, there is no real sub for iron and protein. and that no matter how you think the world should be, it just won't be so. PETA=retards. they think that its un ethical to eat meat? have they ever seen national geographic? real animals eat other animals, and theres nothing you can do about it

Well said. Humans ARE omnivores. Its a biological imparative to eat both meat and vegetables. Its not really a choice for a healthy lifestyle. White meat (chicken for example) is excellent, and alittle red meat now and then is fine too.

I don't really mind this story; it's one of the less idiotic/obnoxious things they've done in awhile. Was there any real competition though? Considering that eating tofu shifts your alignment (slightly) in the direction of good and the most endearing NPC is your dog the game might as well have been designed by them.

PETA should only be able to comment on levels of gore: As in how to improve them....After playing their twisted "Evil Cooking Mama" they should be the Gore designers

It gives furthur proof that PETA thinks Humans are fair game, but animals who I think don't mind being represented in videogames are not.

I have two hero saves in Fable 2.

The first is the generic good guy. I only ate celery because it got rid of the stomach that I got from eating meat for that one demon door. The 'good' foods (Tofu is the only one that's good, the rest only give purity,) blow in terms of healing, though, so it's Health potions all the way. Or lifesteal. He did not bring back to life everyone lost in the Citadel. He brought back his dog and his wife, who is literally a whore.

The second is an evil lady whose innocent persons kill count is somewhere in the hundreds. She consumes Health potions and follows the previous meat standard. The Red Dragon is her weapon of choice for hunting people, and she is currently collecting and spreading as many STDs as possible. She loves her dog.

No, not in that way.

Edit: I'll bet Lionhead is pissed that PETA doesn't know the difference between a developer and a publisher. Then again, getting far away from that group is a great thing.

On the topic of good/evil and vegitarianism... there are a lot of arguements about whether Hitler was a christian or an atheist but one thing is fact...

He was a strict Teatoataler and Vegitarian.

See kids, History is fun!
Hitler also believed it was cruel to but goldfish in bowls. It was only because they didn't have a corner to hide in though.

That's it, now I have a really good reason never to make a good character in Fable 2.

...and tomorrow I'm kicking my dog just out of spite.

(my virtual dog. I love my puppy, and do not condone real animal cruelty. Virtual animal cruelty is fine though because it's, ya know, NOT BLOODY REAL)
