Ok so with 4 days left until launch I felt it was necessary to start this page, personally I liked Fable 2 and if all this does is improve on Fable 2 than I'm going to be happy. Yes there will be a group of people who think this game is a pack of broken promises, which I fortunately, am not a member of. So yeah, let's discuss shall we?

Wait, I'm confused, you're not going to be happy if this improves on Fable II? What do you mean by that?

I for one am very excited about Fable III. Unlike, uh... everyone else ever, I loved Fable II [EDIT: Apart from you, as I just re-read the OP more closely...] , and as far as I can tell the sequel looks even better.

Yay for being one more person who loved Fable 2! I'm stoked for Fable 3 personally and by the looks of it it's expanding and improving on everything Fable 2 established which quite frankly I'm very excited about.

I want fable 3 to be like fable 1 in some way... I wasn't able to really get into fable 2 and never really finished it... maybe I wasnt paying close enough attention but I felt like the story was missing something...

I am excited for it. From what I have seen so far, I honestly think I will love Fable 3. I can't wait until Tuesday, but I have class for most of Tuesday...

It looks like just more of the same of Fable 2, which is disappointing to me. They dumbed Fable 2's combat down too much for my liking.

I'm really looking forward to Fable III. Maybe too much tbh as I'm not sure Lionhead can give me what I've built up in my head but give me my dreams.

I like Fable II - it lacked a little of the soul I'd like but it was still a very solid and fun game. Fable I was better in my opinion but sequels often let the side down. Got mine pre-ordered and looking forward to more Reaver - let's face it, he and the dog were the best things in Fable II :D

I'm ecstatic for Fable 3. Fable was good, Fable 2 was better, and hopefully, Fable 3 will be the best yet.

Fable 2 was a fairly bad game and I couldn't tell you why I liked it, but I really did like it. Though since the first one the only thing I'll look to for hype is actual gameplay footage, so I wouldn't say I was disappointed with fable 2.

I'm getting fable 3 because the multiplayer looks a lot better, and I like the idea of being able to shoot devil wings out of my back so I look like a badass demon thing as I fill my sword with the blood of the innocents. Plus even though it may not be very good, there's really no other game like it.

I've got the CE on pre-order, but I'm trying not to get myself worked up about it. I loved Fable 1, but Fable 2 just left a bad taste in my mouth after the game ended on such a poor note. It felt like half a story, it ended when the story seemed like it was going somewhere interesting.

I'm really looking forward to it too, however i have to wait until friday to be able to get it. I never really pay attention to the hype. I play each game on it's own merits and even if it's not what i expected i always have fun playing them so it's a win for me.

I couldn't stand Reaver personally but i am looking forward to all the famous voice actors as it justs adds that little embelishment to the game. (Reaver's voiced by Steven Fry)

Being someone who enjoyed both Fable 1 and 2, it's pretty easy to see why I've been counting down to the release date of this game since I pre-ordered it. All the trailers, and interviews I've seen have led me to believe that 3 will be a stellar addition to the Fable franchise. I know I won't be disappointed

Seriously? I adored Reaver, made me grin endlessly. I'm excited about the voices too, John Cleese is fabulous for roles which require dry humour and Simon Pegg as a lovable rascal. Maybe my love of Reaver was indeed influenced by my adoration of Fry a smidge but ah well. It's great to see so much talent in one place - hope the game can live up to it.

I liked Fable II, when I bought the game, I didn't expect anything beyond what the back of the box said. Also, I played the first game on the PC like 3 or 4 years ago and I was thirsty of a good adventure game when I bought the 360 a year ago.

Compared to the first one, I thought the second one was lacking a couple of things. For example you never speak or interact with the other characters up close and personal and I always thought they seemed a bit too robotic. Also, I played the game directly from the disc and farting in the Bowerstone Square made loading times a nightmare. Also, I felt that I was running over ice while moving my character, it felt way too slippery for my taste.

Beyond all those things, I simply loved every minute of it, and I hatd the ending.

Now I no longer have a 360 in my hands and I'm waiting patiently for the PC version. So, yeah, I'm excited for it.

Looking forward to it. I found Fable 2 to be quite good, though I disliked the original Fable. If 3 just turns out to be like 2, I will be happy. Yes, I know I do not have high standards...

I don't know. Fable 1 was, in my mind, one of the best games ever. Fable 2 seemed like a shadow of that greatness. I personally liked the armor of Fable 1 much more than 2. Really, I'd rather have to put on armor and look like a walking tin can than sink points into a defense ability. The way 1 did it was just way better.
Combat in 1 also seemed a lot better to me. Having to switch between melee and ranged really added that sense of risk/reward that 2 sort of lacked. If Moly had included a way to create a combo with melee/range/magic attacks like say, Fire Arrows or Whirlwind Punches, or a way to have the option of going with 2 one-handed guns or swords/axes/maces and create combos based on your loadout would make it a lot more polished, and give the game more options.
In all, Fable 2 just lacked features were either in Fable 1 or could have improved it beyond its predecessor. I won't go too far into the stories on this, other than to say that2 had its down points there as well. It never really climaxed (non-sexually) for me. ***SPOILERS*** Where Fable 1 had your character fighting a very one-sided losing battle and everything seemed hopeless, 2 just had you go into a pseudo-memory that really had nothing to do with the plot. The dev. team also used the whole time-sink-while-bad-guy-solidifies-contol again, and that was another let down to me. DON'T USE THIS AGAIN. I guess I did go into stories a little deep, and this post is getting far too long, so yeah.

My Verdict: Unless Fable 3 brings a lot of polished new ideas to the table, it won't live up to Fable 1, and end up like the "special" youngest sibling that everyone tries so hard to like but gets talked about whenever it leaves the room.

Hey, just got back from the future, and yeah, I'm totally disappointed.

OT: I'm really looking forward to Fable 3. I liked Fable 2, and Fable 3 looks set to be even better.
