I did find Fable enjoyable before the elderscrolls series showed how much more depth open world rpg could have. Never played the sequels but I heard mixed things about them anyway. Hopefully they speed up the load times this time around.

Bah, I don't really care. The first game in the Fable series was just absolutely dreadful. I didn't actually start to like the series until the second game (which I loved), so I am not looking forward to this one.
Are you sure the HD remake isn't for PC as well? I am not so sure, the Windows logo comes up right after the XBox logo. Be nice for the fans, I for one cannot count myself as one. I found it got very tedious and dragged on too long. One of the few games I found that I invested so much time in I had to see how it ended, but was hoping for it to end quickly... and on that it did not deliver.Mr Ink 5000 said:
As much as I love the original Fable, I can't really get hyped for this. The only thing that saved the game was it's charm. The combat had no depth and the morality was fairly shallow, Fable has lots of problems but the graphics aren't what need fixing. If they were to remake the game to fit Peter Molyneux's original vision that would be a game worth buying. But a prettier version of Fable: The Lost Chapters... I might buy it after the price drops a bit. Maybe.
I recently got Lost Chapters and for whatever reason, my Xbox is having trouble playing the brand new disc...which is weird since it's playing my years-old Crimson Skies and Curse of Darkness no problem. Anyway, for achievements I may be interested in getting this...unless of course it's digital only...

I'm not as excited about this as I should/could be. I loved the game when it first came out(Briar Rose romance FTW!) but I'm tried replaying it several times. I can't get into it again. I know all the twists, all the enemies and there's not enough wargear and armor. Once you get a named weapon and plate armor, the games over. It was never difficult after that.
I'm worried this game doesn't hold up anymore. Its too boring.
Now if they did something like the Diablo item drop, were there is a chance you'll get something new or magical, then I might try it again. Not exactly that random, mind, but something. Something to add to the challenge and to keep it interesting.

This is cool I guess, hopefully they port the remake to the PC because my wife loves her copy of The Lost Chapters. Actually, I wonder if someone's made some kind of graphics mod already for it...
Awesome! I love the Fable series. Yes, all of them. Despite their issues. So this makes me really happy. I'll be picking it up for sure.
