Since Fable 3 will be launched on PC sometime this year and me being a PC gamer, I was thinking about purchasing it. I'm asking because I have a lot of games that I want to buy this year and don't always have the cash for them.

Fable was a cliched but endearing game and since I did not play Fable 2 (wasn't released on PC) and I want to see some of the new features, I thought that it could be worth it.

Is it worth playing? Is it worth buying?

I don't really care about spoilers since I know what happens in it (roughly anyway). Do you have to kill your brother? Because it seems to me like the guy was innocent and I hate it when games force me to kill someone that I don't want to kill.

It was pretty dam good, I enjoyed it more than Fable 2.

It's not the greatest RPG series out there but if you liked the other Fable games then you'll most likely enjoy this one.

It definitely cleans up on the menu system from Fable 2 and if you can really get into the setting, you'll always be cracking a smile at the dialog going on around you. The combat still sucks though and the people are still morons, but overall, I say its a game worth getting. You could probably wait a few months for it to go on sale if you're still on the fence.

And no, trust me, your brother is far from innocent. You'll see why roughly within the first 15 minutes of game play.

It's extremely dumbed down from Fable 2, but fun nonetheless.

And to answer your question, you do not need to kill him. First decision as a king/queen.

Fable 3 took a lot of stuff out that was wrong in Fable 2, but it also took out EVERYTHING else. Seriously, the minigames are all the same, and the menus are ALL gone, which means you have to run around and find things instead of scrolling down. In its quest to make things easier, Fable 3 makes things annoying and pointless.

Also, the NPCs are all the same, and you can't play your lute to attract women anymore. You don't even have an expression wheel. Everyone loves when you dance seductively with them, even if you don't.

Yup, the game fixed some of the issues plaguing Fable 2, but in the process it also ripped its heart out. I still enjoyed it, but I had that nagging feeling all the way through that I was playing an older game...

Kinda like when you get on board a franchise at a later installment and decide to go back and play the old ones... well basically, it felt like Fable 3 was the game Fable 2 improved upon - which is really weird.

The Fable 3 story is better mind you.

i rly liked it, the main story was pretty cool, then they throw you a huge curveball. If you are a fan of the other ones then you will like Fable 3.

I enjoyed Fable 3, probably about as much as Fable 2 (maybe a little bit more). The plot isn't great but it isn't bad, but what really makes the game imo is the characters. They're a lot more colourful and endearing than the Fable 1/2 characters. The voice actors do an awesome job of bringing life to them. Best (voice) cast in a video game, to be honest. The humour is very British too (obviously), almost like Monty Python, so I'd definitely suggest it if you like that kind of stuff.
