I often hear this about the Fable games, "You can do it, but why would you?"

I don't like that reasoning at all. Give me every option in the book and let me figure out what to do with it.

Are they going to fix the combat? I've yet to hear it mentioned. Learn two area effect spells and kill everything that so much as looks at you funny. Hopefully they'll at least give a real penalty for doing badly. Also why are they focusing so much on something that is at best asinine?
Edit: Repairing houses? So Fable 3 is going to try and be a sim's ripoff? I honestly haven't heard anything about fixing the combat.
This is why I honestly qithout a doubt think Fable 3 is going to be shit. trhey are focusing on minor stupid ideas that don't fix the huge laring flaws in gameplay and story telling.

Are we learning new info on a more realistic looking dynamic combat system? No

Did they speak about fixing the easily exploitable magic system? Nope

Is the land of Albion at least as big F**** FFXII? No(I swear FFXII is bigger than Fable 1+2 combined and its a f**** ps2 game!)

Can we now change clothes without a menu system? Hell yeah!

Can we now hang whatever color drapes we like? You better believe it!

******* *** !@*#%$ this game.

I like the idea and in Assassin's Creed 2 I liked that I could sorta customize the town, or at least have an effect. As a gamer I like having *my* space with *my* character. However, there needs to be some value to it. In Fallout 3 buying some of the furniture bits had actual gameplay value in the form of meds and such. Collecting rent is neat but there needs to be some sort of end to it. Also I should be able to show off my house to people online.

Excellent, soon I will have my dark fortress of endless despare. Or I could go bubblegun pink, I haven't decided yet.

"hahahahahhahahahahahahhaahaaaa" that was my first reaction

then i thought if there was enough options
(similar to what there was in Spore) for it to be possible

or not ?

This seems cool!!! Now only if i could actually create my hero. No more horns and halos please. Then this would be a perfect game. :)

Soooo...how about serial killing? will THAT be getting an expansion too? will my notoriety rise, and eventually will I be getting a nickname, like the "Trailhead Orange Slicer", or "the Wandering Disaster"?

I love that about the fable games. I mean, you can marry in fable, but what's the point? You can buy and sell property's in fable 2, but you'd get along completely fine without doing that.

Its like a load of different games put into one world and then they go "EXPERIMENT". <3

Its almost getting to the point for me where the anticipation( bracing for impact) in how they fucked this game up. It is never present in in this stage of the the all important (Lie, pull damage control, admit games flaws, promise the next fable will be better) cycle Lion Head studios pull each game.

Tell me this Fable, Will you bring back Armor? Cause ah, all this house building is great and stuff, but this isn't exactly why I wanna buy Fable. I buy Fable to Swing heavy weapons around, kill monsters, and woo easy Tavern wenches. I didn't Buy fable to play House.

That is quite a nice improvement I suppose, although I honestly never bothered with the furniture in the last game. Your last line resonates with me: Yeaaaah Decoration-uh-whatever...

Nevertheless, it's nice that we can design a truly diabolical lair.

Interesting, never been a Sims player but I do enjoy player housing when availible in MMORPGs, and spent some time developing residences in games like "Oblivion". :)
I actually enjoyed making my lair/home unique in Oblivion, and I wish there was something like this system to help manage how difficult the bloody "move" button was.

While it's a great addition for Fable III, I personally don't see myself bothering with it because unlike Oblivion, you wind up owning every house on the block. I never connected with my character as much in Fable (not as deep a game obviously), but even the living space seemed rather inconsequential.

Also given that we had a Heroine as opposed to a Hero, that should put some people's fears to rest on the gender option front. Though I still can't help but wonder how radical the physical changes are as she levels up... is that indicative of a graphic you could use through the entire game? What's more is she going to give Jenny Craig a heart attack after eating a single pie to heal?
And perhaps our characters won't be demonized for eating a slice of jerky. Damn Albion, just one giant PETA congregation. Besides, not many heroes can swing a broadsword the size of their body living off of apples and celery stalks. :p

Yes that is fun, but tell me.... when I get annoyed at the game and kill everyone in sight, will it feel more fluid? If the story and the combat stay at their current level I will be sad and the people who live near me will feel the wrath of 2fish, unless they don't give me better spells...

Here's hopeing for the best.
