The incredible un-detailed 3D simulation of my surroundings without a single pointer to where I am on it. What's not to hate? I'm thankful to Molyneux for trying weird and different ways to do things, but I wish that he'd have the awareness to realize when something's not going to work!

So Escapists, what games have you played with weird and horribly executed mechanics?

There was a bit in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow that Yahtzee mentioned in his review where, in order to collect experience, you have to click in either the left or right controller stick. In no situation did that flow naturally into the gameplay.

There was also the shooting in Resident Evil 5 where you couldn't move while shooting or stabbing with your giant machete that does less damage than a temporarily ticked-off mosquito. It kind of worked in RE4 for some reason, but in RE5 it felt like I had two lead weights tied to my feet for the entire game.

Although I liked Darksiders, It annoyed me that I couldn't equip things from the inventory. I had to assign it to a slot and then equip it in normal play. which is a tad annoying when you're being chased by multiple giant worms.

I loved the map sob.

OT: Towers in League of legends, apart from having their dmg reduced to near zero to start they scale their dmg up to slowly. On top of that some occasions they seem to flat out ignore people.
