I hate the groups on facebook they annoy the Jesus out of me. I hate it so much when people ask me to join the group that is interested in changing the name of the color red or the group "I know that wasn't the last piece of gum". Its so annoying and yes I will stop ranting now and ask your opinions.

Facebook is worthless. You either be a prick and don't accept a bunch of peoples friend requests. Or you get inundated by thousands of status updates a day. Making the few that are actually from your friends get lost in the sea of worthless shit.

And the "groups" makes this problem even worse.

I do have a tendency to pick out certain groups I like and join. I detest the trivial ones about sticks of gum, like you said. I did join 'TV Tropes Ruined My Life' though, because it's not trivial and pretty damn true. Ah well. To each his own.

I don't join a single one of them. In fact, most groups I see are just for stupid crap like that. Like being a fan of sleeping or laughing. Really? You like to sleep? ESPECIALLY those groups about the dislike button. Why on earth would you need a dislike button? And why on earth do you need to send me 3,000 messages every day about it? I actually used to join stupid groups like that until I realized how incredibly lame it was and now I'm constantly bombarded by group invites. But all I use FaceBook for is for organizing massive trips to the movies and talking to some friends. And looking through the pictures of girls that I find attractive but am too nervous to talk to.

I just read one about if it gets enough members, the admin will go and use the toilets in the BnQ "on display" toilets.

If they want the attention from such an act, go do it and then post it, it will attract much more attention a lot quicker than just saying "do this and I'll do it".

Joined enough of them in the past I can't be arsed with them any more, can't really be arsed with Facebook at the moment (until Civ comes out for it, then I'll give that a butchers).
