I would like to start by saying that I am a member on Facebook and I don't see anything wrong with that. Now on to the actual topic. I recently discovered the "my polls" on Facebook where everyone can make their own polls... over 60% of the questions were "is there a god" polls and most of the other ones are based on stupidity and ignorance. The worst part of this is that when I vote and see the answers it appears that the majority of Facebook users who use this application believe that you should be forced to keep the child if you have been raped, everyone even suspected of being a terrorist should be executed and the general opinion seems to be that if America did not have the "one nation, under god" line, chaos would break lose and fire would rain from the sky.

oh and is it just me or is it a sad thing when quoting the bible in an argument about law is common practice?

anyway now that I've ranted for a while I'm wondering if any of you could restore some of the dwindling faith in humanity I had before discovering this by telling me if this is normal mindset around the world or if it's just the users of this application.
oh and for the sake of some more conversation, when was the last time you lost faith in humanity.

Last time I lost faith in humanity? "Hmm let me think". Well there has been a number of times, but now that I think about it, don't you think that it's kind of annoying, that someone automatically loses faith in humanity when ever something bad happens? It's almost as if they weren't expecting it. Shit happens people, shit happens.

So you met idiots on a site with 70+ million members and you were surprised and lost your faith in humanity?

What does the escapist have, like maybe a couple hundred thousand? Do you get all depressed when a troll shows up?

right around the time of katrina, the tital wave in asia and I think china had another earthquake... anyway, about that time I thought to myself "if there is a god, i'm glad something is finally being done about this" but then it all stopped and i was left feeling dead inside again. But i have hopes, plans and ambition for the future.
a world where the truth is exposed, faults are admited by the government and people come together to find solutions for tomorrow, instead of lying about today and whispering about past lies.
a world where people are judged by what they can do to provide for the world instead of how long they spent in school reading about it.
where those who have ideas are supported and praised instead of shunned and feared.

Welcome to planet earth! Population: 6 billion idiots.
I hope you're not including me in that. :(
According to Wikipedia, world population is estimated at 6.798 billion people... Which would basically make me say that 1 in 7 people are not idiots. Generous by all accounts.

So you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Are you smarter than the next 6 people?
Well I'm not a bastard. I'm not stupid either. YAY!

I get depressed when intellect is considered trolling because trolls are the majority (4chan is an exception since it is expected that everyone there are trolls)
