Facebook Proposal (?!)

I saw this one guy propose to his girlfriend over facebook, followed by her saying no and making fun of him. I couldn't even feel sorry for the guy... what kind of douche proposes over facebook?!

My question to you guys is, what's the weirdest way you have seen to ask someone out/propose?

I think all this technology is starting to ruin real relationships.
-You're always in contact. Some people need some time apart.
-Being able to chicken and and asking someone out over facebook?!
-Not enough "real" interaction.
I was talking to this one girl and she told me about how cute it was that her current boyfriend (=douche) asked her out over msn. I just stood there and looked at her weirdly.

That's...unromantic. Seriously, that's the most sterile, unemotional thing ever. For what possible reason other than a proposal would a guy ask a girl her ring size?

I don't actually see how that is dumb he spent his time and put effort into modding the game to propose. Maybe not the best and overall romantic way to do it but there are sure as hell worse ways out there. The effort would have been appreciated.
