No... that's not sweet. That's actually pretty dumb...
Yeah, sorry dude, you're wrong. Watch the video on Youtube. She was playing through it at the time, and he added an entire mountain area full of references to memorable and important times in their relationship, until she got to the top of the mountain where the proposal happened. It was really freaking awesome, and took a lot of work. Major props to him.

EDIT: Aw, ninja'd with the video right above me. Just watch it.

And for the record, I do agree proposing over Facebook is stupid, but I do think technology can be and has been used in plenty of creative ways to make fore great proposals.

that is sad over facebook! he probably thought it was romantic declaring his love for her over the internet or what ever!

Worst way to propose is ring in the cake or other food substances when in a resturant.

Worst way to ask someone out it though a note, thats just plain lame!

Ah thats so sweet...wait no that was a horrible idea...dont' you have to be there to give them a ring or somthing?

As for strangest: My friend arranged for his girlfriend to go on a scavenger hunt around town with myself and various other friends at key locations waiting to give her clues to the next area. It ended with her arriving at a gazibo to find My friend waiting for her. He got down on one knee and proposed...and then another of my friends (who was taping the scene) promptly fell out of the tree he was hiding in.

(wow this is my 666 post...neat)

Well, I don't know if I've seen anyone be proposed in a stranger manner. But on the topic of that... I recalled something from awhile back that was quite amazing.

Subjective opinion. I thought it was sweet of him. It's time consuming, and the way it came out was really cool.
Maybe it's because I didn't see the proposal, but I don't think anything can beat the original way of asking.
Here, this is the video for anyone who's curious.

Okay, I take back everything I said...
That's just epic.

Yugioh Abridged lol. Cool show.
Yeah, that's fairly pathetic... No, that's really pathetic. I can't think of anything to top that, to be honest.

I dont have facebook, so I can't make a comment that will not be viciously biased. But it would basically reflect the idea of how pathetc that is.

There was a girl who proposed to her boyfriend with a Fallout 3 Mod. And a guy who proposed to his girlfriend using a hacked version of Bejeweled.

No video for the Bejeweled one, it was just an article Susan Arendt sent me once. Hold on let me find it...

HERE IT IS!!! [http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2008/03/hack-bejeweled/]

I also came across an article that showed a screen of Pokemon from Pokemon Red to ask someone out.

A guy shaves his thick as a shag rug back hair so the bare spots make a proposal, she said yes....I'm honestly not sure which is weirder or which story is sadder but I'm leaning more to the back hair.

That's pathetic. I mean, I could understand how one would think it could be sweet, innocent, but honestly I have no respect for someone like that.

All the same... it was completely wrong of the girl to make fun of him after the fact. No one deserves to get made fun of after proposing.

I thought that was one of the sweetest (in both senses I guess) things I've seen when I first saw it.

There is potential in a lot of things for a creative and good proposal. Facebook is not even close to being one of those things though. Until someone proves me wrong I guess.

I think I have to go do something ultra manly after that sweet comment. Ah screw it.
