Ok, as we all know, there are many times when we'll hear about someone loosing faith in humanity, right? But what about those times when we restore said faith? How come we never hear about those moments? Well, that's why I decided to make this thread! Tell or share about anything that you think the human mind/body is awesome for doing/has done! Anything at all! (Well, things within reasonable worksafe parameters would be more appreciated though).

My contribution? This video that amazed me

[sub]sorry if this has actually been done before, but during my time here I don't recall seeing anything similar... [/sub]

My faith in humanity is restored when people sit down and organize. All the people of the group, of the collective, organizing to bring about the greatest good is pretty amazing. I can't think of an example at the moment but I'm sure it has happened. Also guys like Robert Owen who put all their money toward making life better for the little man

I hate those "I've lost faith in humanity" threads. One publicized act of stupidity and you suddenly hate the human race? What about the billions of good things people do every day for people they don't even know? Oh, right. You don't see them, so they don't exist.

I work in retail. I deal with hundreds of people every day. I see people helping people they don't know. They give them coupons, or even money if they're short by a few dollars. I get the most polite, generally happy people and it makes me love my job.

Do I get that angry asshole every once in awhile? The guy that just wants to get something for free or wants to get back more money than he paid for an item? You bet. I just don't let them skew my view of the other, good people I've spoken with that day.

People are fine.

People are indeed fine. Hell, they're brilliant! That's kinda the point I want to come across in this thread. Guess I should have made it more clear.

My faith in humanity is lowered and then restored on a weekly basis by Russell Howard's Good News.

For the uninitiated, he spends twenty five minutes of his half hour run time taking the piss out of the news, but without fail the last two minutes are dedicated to a lesser-known but inspiring story.

Nope, it was clear. I was just re-stating it. :)

Someone once said: "A person is smart, but people are stupid."
Just look at people seperately and don't judge a race based on some, even when they're the majority.

The outcries of "losing faith in humanity" everytime someone drops a wet spoon in the sugar packet is one of the most melodramatic sayings I may have ever encountered in real life. No Hyperbole.

I do love these little videos though.

Silly thread is silly. Most of the individuals that arbitrarily proclaim they have "lost faith in humanity" would probably go into cataleptic fits when faced with one of the numerous horrors that humanity perpetuates. But this is just stupid. What, some people performing irrelevent, often highly idiotic stunts somehow negates the important things that humans actually do? That seems to fail logic rather painfully.

I think I am getting tired of all those threads as well. It was sort of okay up until the 74th one. Then it was just repetitive...

Also, I like your views on things and completely agree. It's just too bad that some people mess things up for others.

Faith in Humanity is like faith in books. For every Animal Farm, there is a Mein Kampf, for every Picture of Dorian Gray there is a Twilight. I neither have faith in humanity, nor can I loose it, because humanity is effectively a herd of stupid animals

What do you mean you don't have an example? Have you gone blind recently?

OT: because it's inevitable...
Boobies, they never fail to restore my faith (not that I've ever lost it)
