Fake video game "secrets"

I heard loads of Pokemon "secrets" in school. People were saying things about the 'Black Charizard', a 'Golden Garydos' and how to get pokemon eggs to have attacks.

Thats possible well not charzard but there is like a 1 in 3,500 chance that the pokemon will be a diffrent color. I know it works because I have a green vulprix. I know that this sound super nerdy but I'm okay with that.

My brother once told me that beating Pokemon Red/Blue with all of the same type of pokemon (All fire/water/nature) that'd you get a special badge at the end.

That pressing B alot will let you catch the pokemon more easily when you throw the ball.

Oh god I know that one, I did it subconciously after awhile, but I think I did right arrow + B spam.

Adding to the pokemon, I was always told that holding down B while attacking increases your chance for a critical hit.
The bad part is that it's become an uncontrolable thing that when I play pokemon I hold down the B button and dont realize I'm doing it >.<

I was told this by loads of people and i still hold down B aswell XD.

I was playing AOE II with a friend who was losing. I was around 10 years old and didn't know crap about computer shortcuts. My friend told me to Alt+F4 for a free Paladin.

It was still two years until Gold's and Silver's release, so no normal person (i.e. ignorant, myself included) would've know.

That's sort of true. If you have a copy that's five years old you can't save your game anymore because the internal clock screws up or something.

The battery that retains the save dies actually. You can get replacements though.
As for me, I heard if you trade the man in Cinnabar (sp?) for the raichu and come back later after doing something it will have learned Surf.

oh god. i remember spending hours finding every single fruit in shadow of the colossus. without the map. just so i could see the 17th colossus at the top of the tower. god. i hated whomever told me.

oh yeah and then there was the whole. ''beat all the time challenges in under a total time'' i think it was suposed to be like... 30 minutes or something. idk. i sweat so much for that secret colossus. altho i guess i dont really mind it was an epic and awesome game.

I was playing Liberty City on a friend's 360, flying a helicopter. I was a fairly unfamiliar with the controls; I don't have a 360 and it was the first time I'd played GTA on one. He told me that you get a boost if you hit the Y button... I can't BELIEVE I fell for it.

(Y is Enter/Exit vehicle, btw).

They're called shinies. Each pokemon has one shiny version. Red Gyrados, black charizard, and blue mew.

I can't believe Nintendo got rid of it in the remakes (fire red and leaf green). Not even so much as a reference!

I have caught a few Missingno.'s in Platinum.
